Ben and Anakin were waiting in their usual spot for their students to arrive. "Welcome to Kaz-" Ben frowned, then tried again. "Kazik--"

"Kazakhstan," Anakin finished for him. "It's a country in central Asia."

Rory had told him. Shhh.

"It's cooler there than our last destination, so you will not be getting wet," he continued. "I'm not guaranteeing anything about not getting messy, though."

Isn't he reassuring, class?

Ben shook his head. "Race hard, be safe, don't tick anyone off, and we'll see you at the end of the class."

Anakin nodded. "Exactly. Precautions are important."

Said the man who sent an entire class down a six-story waterslide last week.

To the boy whose entire plan to escape from an enemy occupied planet had consisted of "steal a ship and get out of here."

"Can he really do that, though?"

No.

"It can't hurt to ask," Anakin mused. "Maybe I could check with the mayor, too."

As plans went, this was one of the best in recent family history!

"Might as well be thorough about it."

"And then we can get drinks in celebration at Caritas."

Obi-Wan was the brains behind their team.

Some version of him somewhere was probably facepalming so hard right now.

"Won't they be upset about what that would do to their business, though?" Anakin wondered.

Sure, now he thought of that.

"We're powerful Jedi," Anakin said airily. "We can make them forget."

Best familial influence EVER.

"Well, of course we can," Anakin replied. "But only if it's absolutely necessary, right?"

And so ethical!

"Right!" Anakin said. "Or they whine to much."

Well, he taught ethics, right? THAT MADE IT OKAY.

"You think they might?" asked Anakin, wrinkling his nose.

Concerns about other people whining, coming from this family? Really?

Or a realistic idea of what "a lot of whining" might be...

"I don't know how much they might love karaoke," Anakin said with a shrug.

'Realistic' from this family. Ha.

"Well, it's fairly popular, isn't it?" Anakin reasoned. "They can't hate it that much."

"Well, maybe they do and no one has ever asked," Anakin mused.

Anakin scratched at a spot behind his ear, considering. "And they've all just been tolerating it all this time, because everyone assumed otherwise?"

"Plus zombies," Anakin said. "It's not like anyone strikes up a conversation with them."

". . . has anyone ever tried?" Anakin asked. "They don't seem like great conversationalists anyway."

"Maybe the people who work there?" Anakin replied. "I certainly never have."

"I tend not to go there anyway," admitted Anakin, who wouldn't know what a social life was if it did an entire holo presentation in front of him. "So I haven't exactly tried to find out."

"Where do you go instead?" Anakin asked. "Gym? Garage? Flight sim?"

". . . yes?" Anakin, don't even bother looking abashed. No one is surprised by this.

Anakin chuckled. "Those were my haunts too."

"It's hard to think of you being a student here," Anakin admitted, then paused and blinked. "Wow, when did that become the weirdest part?"
