The Art of Friendship (and Glitter!!!!), period 3
Today in class, there was paint and clothing dye. That meant one of the teachers was wearing an old pair of jeans and tank top in order to keep from ruining his nicely monochromatic wardrobe.
Everyone but Stiles, you're welcome.
The other teacher was also wearing worn jeans and a tank top, though hers appeared to be more about a fashion statement than any attempt at functionality.
They had hippies in Ponyville. Who knew?
"Hihihi, students!" Pinkie crowed, waving one bangled hoof in the air with a cheerful chiming sound. "Oo, that sounds neat!" She stood on her hind legs and waved both front hooves, making her bangles jangle about excitedly. "Eeee!"
Derek covered his face with his hand, sighing and praying for strength to get through this. "We're never discussing fashion before class again," he hissed. "Today is finger painting."
And he just couldn't bring himself to mention the second part. Because he wasn't a hippie, damn it.
That's alright, Derek, Pinkie would do it for you. "Aaaaaaaaaaand TIE-DYE!" And she flung rubber bands into the air.
With glitter.
Yep.
No, it wasn't worth wondering just how she always had some glitter on her... person. Pony-son? Whatever.
Derek sighed again, aggressively handing out instructions for how to accomplish different patterns with the dye.
"Hope you're all ready to get meeeesssssyyyy!" Pinkie said happily. "Because it's not tie-dye or hoof -- sorry, finger painting without it!" She demonstrated by dipping one hoof into a pot of paint and stamping a purple hoofprint on her own cheek.
At least she hadn't tried to stamp it on Derek.

You were getting this tie-dyed shirt Stiles was making as a fake anniversary gift, Derek.
