Hitting Things 101- Tuesday- 4th period
Jaina's first class met in the Danger Shop, where she was standing in front of a line of training dummies. Gee, wonder what you were doing today.
"This is Hitting Things 101," Jaina began, and truth be told, she just liked saying that. "If you're wondering what you're going to be doing in here, you didn't read the class title too well. This is a class where you're going to have different opportunities to beat things up in a safe environment. Some of you will probably be using this for some sort of training, and that's totally fine. Some of you will just be wanting catharsis. That's fine, too. You'll be able to do things more or less at your own pace here, so no one has to worry about what level of fighting they're at.
"Now since this is our first class, I just want you all to tell me who you are and where you're from, and then you can pick a dummy and hit it. And if you don't know how to throw a proper punch, please ask me or someone else for help because I'm not sending anyone to the clinic with a broken hand on day one."

Introductions
Re: Introductions
Look how she just breezed through that! Wheee! She was counting on being fast and dismissive to keep people from asking anything more.
Re: Introductions
Super helpfully.

He was also, by this point in the day, feeling like a bit of a brat, apparently.

Hit dummies!

That poor, poor dummy.

It was probably a little worrisome how intent he was while working over the dummy; he kept thinking over possible counters, critiquing every tiny misjudged angle, and analyzing everything.
Which was typical, if you knew him, just more concentrated than usual.
Talk to Jaina
Re: Talk to Jaina
And she would be oh-so-surprised to find there was some other girl's name there instead. Man, that crazy Fandom office!

Re: Talk to Jaina
Like the half-second of surprise as Zeela came up with a last name for herself. "Morragen!" she said in a rush. Then, with an awkward laugh, "Zee Morragen."
*No fair!* Zhahar whispered. *Now I have to be Zhari Medusah!*
Zee gave an almost-imperceptible shrug. =You could always be Zhari Zephyra?=
*Oh, because that doesn't sound ridiculous. Or made up.*
Zee tuned her sister out and gave Jaina a smile. "Even if I'm not on the roster, I'm really excited to be here and looking forward to class," she said. "I want to learn."
That, at least, was true.
Re: Talk to Jaina
"You do the work, you play nice with others, and it won't be a problem," she said.
Re: Talk to Jaina
She'd seen how much more she had to learn compared to just the other students in the class. Zeela was going nowhere.
