Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

Whoever worked their magic to ensure that the welcome picnics had nice weather had cut their mojo very close this time around. The weather was lovely today - sunny and hot enough to make it clear that summer in Fandom had finally begun - but the overnight thunderstorms had left puddles all over the lawn that hadn't quite dried up yet.

Still, the tables and chairs had managed to be scattered around, along with the buffet table of moddable food and drinks, and the information table with name tags, the Big and Little Sibling list, and the list of new roommates. The only thing missing was people to enjoy the festivities!

[OCD is up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"Yep, that's me. And my trip was cool, thanks," Anya replied, matching the smile. Because that's what you did, right?

"Well, the last part was...different. A pink pony drove the shuttle."

"So I suppose I don't need to tell you that this school may be stranger than you're used to," Sia inferred.

Anya shrugged a bit. She was glad Pinkie had at least allowed her to sit next to her and scream every time it seemed like she was going to drive them into a tree. Or building. "Yeah, I gathered that much. What should I be looking for? Or after?"

"Well, we seem to be on some sort of dimensional nexus that allows people from different realities, so you may find people you know from home who don't know you because they're from an alternate reality, and you'll find people with different powers or from other worlds," Sia said, conversationally.

Anya nodded at every little pause she made, muttering 'uh-huh's here and there. She was mostly unfazed?

"This. Is. So. Cool. I wonder if I'll met some weird version of the people I know back home." You had to be special like Anya to feel excited about it.
