Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

There were plenty of tables and chairs scattered around the lawn for anyone who wanted to sit down once they'd had their fill of the buffet, or to recover from starting to find out what this place was all about. No one would judge the need to take a mental breather.

Some of the tables were out in the open, for those who weren't allergic to the sun, and some of the tables were in the shade, or far from the rest of the crowd. Wherever people decided to rest, there was space enough for everyone.

[OCD is up! This is the post for general mingling! Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here! Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"I was worried it might be more for body disposal," Jessica said. "Which would make the food thing the most unsanitary thing I'd ever heard. Thankfully, that's not an issue."

"Okay, that could be real," Jessica said. "So what do you have in the food bag so far? Not that I want any of it, because I really don't know where that bag has been."

Cade peered inside. "Sandwiches, muffins, a bunch of those cheesy puff things, no cake because last year that was nasty--"

"Have you washed the bag since then?" Jessica had to ask. She assumed the real answer was yes. But she still had to ask.

"I made someone else wash it, so that's practically the same thing," Cade decided.

"Yeah, that's close enough," Jessica said. "So at least you're not also putting my complete disgust in the bag, too. It might have gotten all over the sandwiches."

"And that would have completely ruined the sandwiches," Cade said, "and made it far less likely for me to have shared them."

"So are most of the people here," Jessica pointed out. "But I'll still pass. Just because that bag's been washed at least once in the past year doesn't mean I trust it."
