"It's moot, it's beside the point, it's not happening. I need my friend. I don't need another ex-boyfriend. Easy call." Parker took a breath. "It'll work out. Eventually. I've *never* been hung up on a guy I couldn't get for very long." Of course, that's because the two times it happened, Giusseppe caved and Tony stayed in Tokyo. But details. Fffft.

Parker's not even going to answer that. The truth is, the idea of Jarod rejecting her is to scary to contemplate. The humiliation factor is too high. So she veers off the conversational path into, "If I invited you guys over to the Sin for a movie night with Jarod, would you come, or would you want to avoid Becky too much to even think about it?"

"Friend thing, friend thing--" Parker cuts herself off. "I might invite some other people, too, if Jarod's good with it. So yeah, you inviting along a certain not-friend would be totally okay."

Parker snickered. "'And it was very educational. The ninja showed us how to make pie. No, that's not a euphemism.' Heh. Although really, I have no idea if Miho can bake anything. Maybe she'll quit glaring at me if we invite her too." Her grinned turned evil. "And possibly Barbossa? Heh."
