The first thing William encountered upon entering the room was a book parachuting from the ceiling and clocking him on the head.
"Rude," he muttered, picking up the book and placing it on the counter. The library's response was a cascade of a half-dozen more parachuting books.
"Oh, fantastic." William wasn't one to resort to sarcasm that often, but today apparently merited it.

John had gone in to Special Collections to have a 'talk' with whatever was causing this. And come out again a few hours later looking even more disgruntled.
All the books falling on his head? About bunnies. And puppies. And everything fluffy and nice in the world.
