Library, Thursday
Evan wasn't anything even remotely resembling productive today during his library shift, no. He'd shown up, and had given a glance to the books that were in need of re-shelving, and had sighed and made a reach for a few. He could take the whole cart with him, but he was caught somewhere between listless and antsy in the worst way, and making a few laps around the library today really couldn't hurt until he managed to figure out which he was going to settle on.
By the time he got back to the desk from shelving those ones, the cart was a little more empty than he remembered leaving it. Another wander into the stacks revealed the reason why- a few of the more uplifting titles had gone ahead and shelved themselves, so that he wouldn't have to.
At least that got a bit of a smile out of him. There was a reason he liked books so much, see?

Re: Talk to Evan
Would it really cause problems?
"Poor Ozzy! But an understandable decision."
Re: Talk to Evan
It maybe hit a little too close to home, when put that way.
"If you want somebody to see it with, I would be interested..."
And to hell with Professor Starsmore. Evan wasn't hurting anything, was he? And he thought he might even have friends in the show.
Re: Talk to Evan
Seriously, Evan, Yeul was the hardest person to upset basically ever.
Re: Talk to Evan
"You know... I think I will. I need to get out of my room for things that aren't classes and work, right? Otherwise I'll... I'll just be hiding forever. I can't do that."
It would be understandable if he did, but that wasn't how he'd been rai--
...
It just wasn't how he rolled.
Re: Talk to Evan
Yes, Evan, she was going to buy your ticket.
Re: Talk to Evan
Totally stubbornness.

Re: Talk to Evan
"I... guess so," he replied, and then twitched something kind of like a smile again. "But I'm going to take you out next time, okay? It's the least I can do."
Because she had been there. He wanted to find a way to say thanks, too.
Re: Talk to Evan
And if he forgot… that would still not bother her.
"Should we invite Sholeh along?" she suggested, a bit slyly.
Re: Talk to Evan
"Well, it is a classic," he noted, looking thoughtful. "I think she'd probably enjoy it, actually. I can see if I can find her after my shift here, and ask if she's interested in coming, too. And if she is, I'll get her a ticket at the door tomorrow. They... do sell tickets at the door, right?"
He really went through pains to avoid the Boards, yeah.
Re: Talk to Evan
"They sell tickets at the door,” she assured him. “I cannot see that being a problem."
Re: Talk to Evan
It would be a nice change of pace. Way better than hiding in his room, clinging to his dog.
Re: Talk to Evan
Re: Talk to Evan
Like people did when everything was okay.
Re: Talk to Evan
Yeul nodded. “That’s right. And now you have something to look forward to.” Her smile widened slightly. “And so do I.”
