The books seemed to be pairing themselves off today, Sholeh noticed as she walked into the library. Everywhere she looked, there were pairs of books nestled together in various spots: on tables, under chairs, snuggled up on a shelf. At first she tried to separate the books and put them back where they belonged, but as soon as her back was turned, they'd scamper off and find one another again.
Rather than fight with them any longer, Sholeh was just going to shake her head and retreat back to the circulation desk. "If anyone comes in to look for you, you'd better make yourself available!" she threatened.
That was pretty much the best she could do today.
