Sex Ed, Friday, Period Two
Unlike the past couple of weeks, there was a Thor in the classroom today! How exciting! Also the classroom wasn’t the classroom so much as the Danger Shop set up to look like the classroom.
“I hope you were all well-behaved while I was otherwise indisposed,” he said. giving the students his very best Serious Face.
“Oh, they behaved very well,” Steve assured his co-teacher. He wouldn’t have tolerated anything else, after all. “But we’re all very glad you’re back.”
“I am pleased to hear it!” Thor said cheerfully. “And now, on to this week’s topic: sexually transmitted diseases!” Thor. Thor. That phrase should not have an exclamation mark after it.
“You’ll remember previously that we spoke about condoms as a form of birth control,” Steve said, unfazed by Thor’s enthusiasm. “But there’s another important reason to use them; short of abstinence, they’re the best way to prevent the spread of disease. And there aren’t really any pleasant sexually transmitted diseases for you to get. Most of them involve some form of unpleasant physical symptoms, and some can kill you.” Didn’t that sound like fun? Steve began handing out an informative handout on the class topic, so the students could learn more about the horrifying things that could happen to their parts.
But wait, some of the students might be saying. Why bother holding a class in the Danger Shop if all they’re gonna be doing is reading handouts? Oh clever, clever students! You’re right. You’re NOT just reading handouts.
Because an army of adorable little sexually transmitted diseases was pouring through the doorway. DEFEND YOURSELVES!
