Sociology - Sex Cultures: 6th Period

Grissom's students find a note on the Sociology lab door that they should meet in Danger Shop.

When they arrive, they find that a performance area has been set up for them, complete with room for an audience.

"Welcome, everyone! I'm glad you made it. I know that you have all been working hard on your presentations, so I wanted to give you the opportunity to share them with your fellow students. We'll begin in a few minutes, and I'll let the audience in. Happy Valentine's Day!"

Actually she was going to go for tequila, but it's only 2pm so yes wine, wine it is!

Shep's thinking laudnum at this point... because valium may not disolve fast enough.

Phoebe agrees.

*Knew her sister loved her*

"Here before witnesses John and Phoebe have sworn their vows to each other. With this cord I bind them to those vows, however this binding is not tied, so that neither is restricted by the other. Because the only true enforcement of love is the will to love."

She takes a deep breath, "repeat after me, 'Heart to thee, body to thee. Forever and so mote it be.'"

Phoebe is glad Lana is holding her up. She squeaks and then says in a shaky voice "'Heart to thee, body to thee. Forever and so mote it be"

Lana is indeed holding her up - almost literally. She leans in and kisses her on the cheek and whispers to her, "Almost done, you're almost done, sweetie. You're doing good."

"Hey there now! If anyone's gonna be kissing... well... either one of you - being that you - " he pointed to Lana, forgetting that Phoebe was tied to that arm and yanking her hand with his - "are my girlfriend and she -" this time he makes Phoebe point to herself as he does, "is about two minutes from becomin my wife."

Lana laughs. "Oh, you'll get yours later," she whispers to him with a teasing grin.

Shep is still watching Phoebe who's still not looking good, so he only hears half the sentence. Trying to recover he manages to say, "Heart to thee, body to thee, forever smote a bee."

He's not sure where the bee fit in, but hey. Mead! That could be where.

He then mumbles, "We better get an A for all this emo-drama. This is bad as the real one I was at a few weeks ago!"

Paige is looked more and more concerned as the ceremony proceeds.

And she's now totally last track of what was meant to be said by Shep.

"You may now, erm kissthebride!" she says very quickly hoping maybe it'll be ignored.

Phoebe whimpers and drops, thus propelling Shep towards Lana.

Shep leans in to kiss Phoebe - lips closed, she's traumitized enough - when he feels a tug on his arm. As he goes forward after his arm, he colides with...

... someone else's lips.

Oh hey Lana! He loses the chaste pretty damn quick.

"Excuse me, that's my bride you're kissing." The medieval fop is suddenly confronted with about 6' of stressed-out Viking.

After standing Lana back up, Shep smiles at Han, "Not my fault she put her face against my lips."

It's entirely Paige is flailing and feaking at a little.

"Pheebs! It's okay sweetie, it's all done,"

There will be strong alcohol very soon, even if Paige has to break a wiccan rule to get it!

Phoebe is pulling at the cord on her arm. "Paige!"

Of course the advantage of being part whitelighter is she doesn't need any sort of blade to remove the rope.

"Cord!" she says holding her hand out for it as it appears in her and she crouches down to Phoebe, "hey, it's okay, it's all over. It's gonna be okay Pheebes. It's just a stupid class, nothing to worry about. I think I have more wine!"

Phoebe nods before grabbing her sister's arms and bolting from the Danger Shop. She may never forgive Grissom.

And of course Paige runs after her, she may never forgive Grissom either, does he not listen to the radio!

Shep staggers a little as the rope releases and the counterpull he'd been feeling was removed. "Wow... she's kind of stressed out."

He kneels next to her, tugging Lana along with him. "Hey, Phoebe, no harm, no foul. The assignment is done. You never even have to talk to me again." He smiles to show her that he's playing with her, trying to get her to relax.

Lana kneels next to him since she doesn't have much choice in the matter. She's still feeling a bit lightheaded from the kiss and has not as yet realized that she's just done this in front of a rather big audience.

Lana all but falls on top of Phoebe when she drops. She reaches out trying to grab hold of something and finds herself clinging to Shep. Who kisses her, chastely - obviously thinking she's Phoebe.

She can't help but wrap her arms around him and respond to his no-longer-quite-so-chaste kiss as he realizes who she is.

Still tied to Phoebe, Shep uses his one free arm to tip Lana backwards and really lay one on her. This would have looked much more romantic if he weren't tied to another woman who was sprawled out on the floor.

Mead! Yes, Mead!

"Lana will explain," Phoebe whispers faintly.
