Library, Monday

The first thing William noticed as he opened the library was the dark, sticky substance splattered on the floor and circulation desk.

"That cannot be sanitary," he muttered to himself, poking tentatively at the substance on the desk. Ugh. Cough syrup.

Really, if the library were concerned about students with winter colds, there were better ways to express it than making a mess. But William wasn't about to argue with a library, so he was just going to sigh and grab a cloth to start cleaning up.

Judging from the colorfully profane language, the librarian was in, and not amused at this turn of events.

"'M not sick, you vapid excuse for a sentient archive, I smoke! I always sound like this!"

...don't mind the fact that he's arguing with the air.
