Library, Thursday

Evan was actually in a pretty good mood as he reported to the library for his shift today! Sure, he was a little late because he had a first-period class, but that just meant he had a little more work to do by the time he got in, putting away books and tracking down a few by some British author about a little girl and her five animal friends. They'd wandered off on some adventure or another... Something about finding a yellow house with a red door.

Once the six of them had been rounded up and returned to the children's section, they'd all taken turns trying to have a sulk on a pillow. Evan really didn't follow the logic of children's books, so he decided to maybe just leave them to it. He had more important things to do today, anyhow.

"Oh..." Evan considered that for a moment, and then smiled a little more. "Well, it's good to meet you, Mist-" He choked on that a little, blushed slightly, and then cleared his throat. "It's good to meet you, Constantine."

"Do you have a lot of experience with crazy libraries like this one?"

"Libraries, not as much, but I have a lot of experience with magical weirdness," John answered wryly. "And I needed a change of pace."

From selling souls to the Lords of Hell and such.

"Here's pretty much the place to go for a change of pace," Evan noted, "no matter who you are. Are you settling in on the island well, sir?"

Sir! It wasn't a mister!

"The walls in my apartment change color depending on my mood," John sighed, rubbing his forehead. He'd let the 'sir' slide, as someone had clearly prided themselves into hammering manners into the boy. "So it's rather hard to decorate-" which was a lie, John didn't 'decorate,' "-but so far, so good."

And he was going to lean over and find something wood to knock on, just in case.

Color-change walls? Evan looked maybe a tiny bit intrigued at the notion.

"Well, do you change moods often? You could probably just decorate for whatever color you feel the most, right?"
