Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II
There was the bonfire for everyone who thought Maryland in January was a little too cool for their taste, as well as the moddable warm food and drinks, and chairs and tables in the school colors of blue and gold. Some tables were also set a little further away from the crowds.
Because there were always people who preferred the fringes.
[OCD up! This is the FIRST post for general mingling. Please use this post first, if your browser can handle the comment load. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here and there's more room for mingling here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Re: General Mingling [Spring 2013]
And then remembered her conversation with Arietty. "That would be fabulous! And I know someone here who would be even more thrilled. She's never even really seen much snow."
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2013]
Like, say, indoors.
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2013]
Then something occurred to her. "Hey, she's tiny, like," Mercy gestured, measuring out Arietty's size with her hands, "Really tiny. Can you change size, too, like you do in the stories? 'Cause it would be so nice for her to be able to have someone who could be her size sometime."
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2013]
Most stories also made him out to be an old man, after all. He was hardy that.
Well. He was technically a few centuries old. But still.
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2013]
Yes, she was just assuming Jack was hundreds of years old. The stories went back at least that far after all.
"I was kind of hoping though. Arietty manages great, but I always think it must be tough for her not to have anyone her own size here."
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2013]
"Lonely, right? I think I can relate, even if I can't help out with the being small thing. If you're looking for someone small, you'd probably be better off talking to the Tooth Fairy. She's got helper-fairies that are only a couple of inches tall, I've heard."
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2013]
"Well, if I ever run into her I'll ask about the helper fairies, I guess."
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2013]
A beat.
"And I guess the Easter Bunny. But he's a jerk."
Jack was biased.

Re: General Mingling [Spring 2013]
On Easter Sunday.
Details.
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2013]
"A blizzard at a really inconvenient time, I'm guessing."
Hey, she grew up with werewolves who could hold grudges for, well... centuries.

Still laughing, yes.
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2013]
A blizzard! A blizzard!
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2013]
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2013]
Yep! Because blizzards were so harmless!
