Astro Sciences, Friday
"Hey, students," Kaidan greeted. "Thanks for attending these past couple of months - I know it's a big hit on your sleep schedule."
He nodded at a stack of papers. "Your final'll be made up out of two parts," he said, "a written part and a practical. For the practical, I'd like you all to practice diplomacy again. Pick a card out of the stack and you'll know what your aims are as representative of your species. Find someone with a different shade of card, sit down, and negotiate. Write down what you decide on and turn it in alongside your exam."
Beat.
"Good luck."

Take the Test!
It's a little dry, but if you kept up your notes, you'll be fine.
Practical Exam!
BLUE:
1. You're a peace-loving and diplomatic species. However, your main drive is to stay on top of the power chain by brokering the right deals. You want in on your partner's latest deal.
2. You're an economical powerhouse of a species, but you are almost incapable of defending yourself. You want your partner's fleet to watch your back, but you don't want to give up too much of your wealth to do it. Or any, if you can manage it.
3. You're from a slow, tribal, conservative species. You don't want any trouble, but your military is weak and you don't have a great deal to bargain with. However, your home planet does have a reasonably-sized industrial sector. You are easily offended.
4. You're from a species with significant natural resources at your disposal. However, you are highly sensitive to the needs of the environment. Your people also need new planets to colonize, but the only way to do it is to barter with your partner.
5. You're from a species with a peace-loving, diplomatic reputation. You would like very much to build a secret military base on your partner species' land. Broker this without spilling too many details about your actual plans.
RED
1. Your species is violent, crude and well-armed, but there aren't a great deal of you. You want more space to expand. Attempt to broker a deal with your partner about this without making him wary.
2. Your species is a highly organized technocracy. You want to start selling specific inventions in exchange for food, which you lack. Attempt to broker a good deal without spilling too many secrets in the process.
3. Your species is built on military hierarchy, and your people are suspicious but peace-loving and well-armed. However, you are not terribly good at trading at all. Find a way to convince your partner to help you out without accidentally selling half your planet.
4. Your species is reckless and ambitious, but would like to avoid pissing too many people off. Attempt to convince your partner to help you claim some territory without... well, making him think you're trying to build an empire.
5. Your species is short-lived but quick-thinking. Leading scientists are currently working on a major project that would keep you safe from potential attacks by your partner's species for years to come. Obviously you would like to keep your partner from finding out, but-- you need your partner's resources to do it.

Pick a partner of the opposing color and have at. Write down your conclusions.

Which was to say, he was here and ready to be consulted for anyone's blue-card-having needs, yo.

Buuut he'd almost definitely be taking Kaidan's next class and had actually written it down on a post-it to make sure he didn't forget, so. There was that.

There are no words for how insanely tired I am.
Also yes, if your character disagrees with the card he gets, you can grab the next one in line (or go back to the top).
