Ethics [Tuesday, November 27, 2012, 1st period]

After a confusing early morning, Anakin had made his way to school and had eventually figured out that he was supposed to be teaching. And not just teaching, teaching a class on ethics.

Obi-Wan wasn't nearly as funny as he thought he was, Anakin thought darkly.

So he'd slapped a note on the classroom door telling the students (ha! he had students!) to meet him at the flight simulator. He could always teach people to fly.

"Hey," he said when the students arrived, hiding his sudden attack of nerves behind attitude. "I'm Anakin. Today we're doing, um, practical ethics. Hop into this flight simulator--it's set up on a really easy--" for Anakin, so your mileage may vary, "--starfighter battle. In the midst of the battle are a couple of civilian ships. Don't kill the civilians."

He shrugged, then yanked on the braid hanging behind one ear. "Or do, but give me a good reason for it, okay?"

Sparkle had no freaking clue how to fly one of these things. But that wasn't going to stop him from trying, damn it.

And trying.

And trying.

"Exploding is way more fun than shooting at things anyhow," he grumbled, after a few more attempts at running through the sim. "Maybe if I just try to do that, I'll actually hit something."

This type of thing was in Jim's genes. Yeah, yeah, he was never gonna be his dad and he'd probably never save a million lives and be a hero but he could still fly.

And if he crashed every so often, well, the simulator was probably broken or something.

Values of "really easy" were comparable for people named Anakin, apparently.

The younger one, even more unable to resist showing off in front of this version of Anakin Skywalker, made the flashiest job possible out of the mission. Sure, he had to pull a few desperate maneuvers at the end to avoid killing a civilian, and he'd be scowling about that afterward, but he did it.

This was going to do nothing to disabuse him of the notion that he was pretty much invincible.

Did Sia make it to class in time after finding Atton... or whoever this morning? Yes, of course she did. And while she was still pretty weirded out by that and by her great-great-great (was that enough greats?) grandfather being a teenager, she was going to happily focus on not crashing and dying spectacularly.

And no she wouldn't be killing civilians.

Sholeh had mentally prepared herself to crash and die, much like Sparkle was. Except...except once she got past the point of squealing and flailing at any time, she found herself...kinda good at it.

Which meant she was still crashing and dying, but she kept getting farther in the sim before she did!
