Sociology of Violence

"Hello, class. Welcome, and please turn in your essays from last class on your reactions to playing the games provided to you."

Grissom then lectures briefly on The St. Valentine Day's Massacre and then dismisses class.

"On your way out, please take this reading, Chapter Nine of Flash Point: The American Mass Murderer by Michael D. Kelleher, and complete it by Wednesday."

Sociology of the Paranormal

After greeting the class, Grissom gives a lecture and smiles, sitting half on his desk.

"So, easy discussion today. Do you believe in miracles?"

"Also, easy homework. I want you to do your own research into the phenomena, and see if anything changes your mind."

Pass in your homework, groan at the reading, chat.

Veronica turns in a brilliant essay, because she's the TA and has to set a good example.

Bel passes in his homework and enjoys the lecture and the reading.

Piper turns in a well thought out essay.

Draco passes in his homework and enjoys learning about the St. Valentines Day massacre.

Peter handed in a pretty good essay. It would have been better, but he was too busy becoming a first-hand source. The paper was detailed, but a little short.

He then took detailed notes on the lecture. It sounded like the kind of thing he was likely to come up against back home.

Aeryn's essay says that her experience with video games just made her miss shooting things. It's hard to make her more violent.

Krycek didn't pass in his essay, having missed that class, and made a mental note to stop in with Grissom later.

Jake is here, and he doesn't believe in miracles, nope.

Angela is glowingly happy today, is therefore listening with only half an ear, and would probably say she believed in fairies ~~not that kind~~ if Grissom asked, so she nods.

Lana signs in. She's not sure if she believes in miracles or not, but she's certainly open to the possibility.

Walter signs in ~~sans song~~. He's not sure that he believes in miracles, but he's not ready to rule anything out these days.

Shep signs in. He isn't sure about the whole miracles thing. Miracles as in divinely contrived good luck? Nah, he didn't have any great faith in a higher being that was interested in controlling the day to day activities of a single individule.

He did believe in cosmic good luck and good timing. He knew that that sort of thing had saved his bacon more than once on Atlantis.

Piper signs in. She's not sure she believes in miracles, but, after all she has seen in Fandom, she believes they are certainly possible.

Lyta signs in. She believes in miracles... for people other than herself. Then again, she thinks, isn't the fact she's here a miracle in itself? She doesn't voice this last outloud. ~~It's impossible to be an intergalactic gal of mystery if one goes blabbing all one's secrets, after all.~~

Paige is here ~~now with 50% less subtext~~

"I think miracles happen yeah, I mean look at this place, it kinda challenges the way you think about things like that doesn't it?"

Jaye's here and she knows nothing about miracles none whatsoever no one anything really.

Marty signs in. Today he believes in miracles. All kids of miracles.

In fact it would be a miracle if he lost the grin on his face.

Stark signs in and considers the question.

"Yes. Of course I do. Maybe not before, no reason to before, but now? Yes."

Cordelia signs in, looking mildly uncomfortable from her previous classes that day.

"Miracles? Nah, I don't think so. It's a nice thought, but I think it's just something people really wished was possible. Maybe, though. I guess I don't really know." Very succint, Cordy.

"I am participating in class. Some would define that as a miracle." ~~Lj eating comments? Not so much.~~

Grissom is struggling desperately with the cutest puppy in the history of puppies rather comically in his office, trying to stop her from barking, and also trying to figure out where he is going to hide her for the night.

Why didn't he find a puppy-sitter before?

This was a very, very bad idea.

So come play with the adorable puppy, unless you are Sara, and then she'll be hidden in a very stealthy ~~goofy, transparent~~ manner so Sara can't find her. Ha, ha ha.

Krycek stopped by, looking a little bemused - both at the reason he was there and the barking puppy. "Sir? I was absent from the last class ~~because the mun was off her head and completely managed to miss it somehow~~, but is there something I could do to make up the credit?"
