Junior Achievers Club, Wednesday (after classes)
When the members of the Junior Achievers club assembled in the Danger Shop today, they'd probably notice that the room was already set up with some manner of destruction in mind. Or, at least, some sort of physical exertion. There were a few moddable targets set up, some with backings of straw, and others of brick. There was also an obstacle course of sorts set up, mostly consisting of hurdles, some decidedly taller than an average person even stood.
Evan was one of the two boys who was standing in front of the course, looking anxious to get started, and maybe a little nervous.
"Hi, everyone," he greeted, once it looked like people had settled in, "welcome to the Junior Achievers Club! Which is kind of just a fancy," if ambitious, "title for 'people with powers who want some training with them' club. This week we're going to try to keep things pretty simple, since we don't really know what we're working with yet, but we hope that will change soon so that we can really start exploring our full potential!"
"We decided to meet here in the Danger Shop so that no one has to worry about taking things too far, or getting hurt," Billy said, looking enthusiastic enough to cover everyone in the room. "We figured we'd do the introduction thing today, since it's our first meeting and everyone might not know everyone else. If you want to talk about what you can do, you totally can, and if you'd prefer not to, that's all right too. Then, the course is yours, to practice or test yourself or show off, whatever you want."
"Feel free to go a little crazy on the course," Evan added, smiling and bouncing on his toes just a tiny bit as he started to get into the spirit of the club. "Since we're in the Danger Shop, it can just re-build anything that you might break, and if you want anything in particular added so that you can practice, we can arrange for that to happen, too. We want to give everyone a chance to participate, no matter what your powers are!"
[OOC: OCD is up, have at it!]

"I don't want to be too close to anybody," he explained, giving one more good look around. And then he let loose with a wave of raw power in a hot white flash that, once the smoke cleared, really did leave him standing in a bit of a crater, burning rubble and ash surrounding him as the Danger Shop struggled to piece that corner of the room back together.

"Oh, precision's easy," he shared, and then turned and loosed more raw power toward the targets, but this time it was focussed in the form of eye beams. The targets were left smoldering all over again, and Evan was standing there, looking proud of himself indeed. "It's hard to miss when you shoot exactly where you're looking."

"We're not really trying to raise an army here," he noted, carefully, "but some of those exercises sound like they could be useful here, too. I think I might have to see if I can find out more about them and what they did, and see if any of that can be used to help people just get more familiar with what they can do..."
Re: Make Use of the Course
"If you're curious about what they did, you should keep asking me questions," Karla responded with a laugh. "I was one of the co-leaders of the Reserve from freshmen year on."
Re: Make Use of the Course
Just four horsemen would do nicely!
"... Oh yeah?" He grinned a little bit, teeth teasing at his bottom lip for a moment. "Maybe we can get together sometime that isn't the middle of the club meeting to talk about it? We could talk about it over coffee or something, if you're up for that."
Re: Make Use of the Course
"I love coffee," she said instead. "I could probably keep the perk afloat financially just getting me through Monday morning."
You're welcome, Evan.
Re: Make Use of the Course
"Then maybe on the weekend sometime? When we'll have plenty of time to just talk about your reserves thing without worrying about classes or anything? How is your Sunday?"
