Junior Achievers Club, Wednesday (after classes)
When the members of the Junior Achievers club assembled in the Danger Shop today, they'd probably notice that the room was already set up with some manner of destruction in mind. Or, at least, some sort of physical exertion. There were a few moddable targets set up, some with backings of straw, and others of brick. There was also an obstacle course of sorts set up, mostly consisting of hurdles, some decidedly taller than an average person even stood.
Evan was one of the two boys who was standing in front of the course, looking anxious to get started, and maybe a little nervous.
"Hi, everyone," he greeted, once it looked like people had settled in, "welcome to the Junior Achievers Club! Which is kind of just a fancy," if ambitious, "title for 'people with powers who want some training with them' club. This week we're going to try to keep things pretty simple, since we don't really know what we're working with yet, but we hope that will change soon so that we can really start exploring our full potential!"
"We decided to meet here in the Danger Shop so that no one has to worry about taking things too far, or getting hurt," Billy said, looking enthusiastic enough to cover everyone in the room. "We figured we'd do the introduction thing today, since it's our first meeting and everyone might not know everyone else. If you want to talk about what you can do, you totally can, and if you'd prefer not to, that's all right too. Then, the course is yours, to practice or test yourself or show off, whatever you want."
"Feel free to go a little crazy on the course," Evan added, smiling and bouncing on his toes just a tiny bit as he started to get into the spirit of the club. "Since we're in the Danger Shop, it can just re-build anything that you might break, and if you want anything in particular added so that you can practice, we can arrange for that to happen, too. We want to give everyone a chance to participate, no matter what your powers are!"

Arrive/Mingle
Re: Arrive/Mingle
He was grinning as he looked over the course, clearly eager to get started.

Yeah. Jaded and keeping an eye out. And planning on not showing off all of what she could do while he could see.
Introductions
"And I'm Billy Kaplan, and I'm also a mutant," Billy said. "I was around fourteen when I discovered that I had powers when I accidentally nearly electrocuted someone. He got better, thankfully, but I've been pretty cautious about exploring the limits of what I can do ever since. Technically, I consider myself a witch, because most of my powers involve casting spells, but if you need someone to fly you around, I can definitely help. So, what about you guys?"
Re: Introductions
He nodded a little bow to the group. "I'm George, and I am a necromancer and a flash user," not that anyone would know what that was around here, "and have been since I can remember. I suppose that's why many people find what I can do unnerving, while I don't."
Re: Introductions
"Hi, George, and welcome to the club! If you don't mind my asking, what is flash?"
Re: Introductions
"Most magic users in my world have the ability, to some degree or other."

There. That was true enough while not giving away the full scope of what she could do.
Re: Introductions
He was a curious little guy, okay?

He didn't know if there was a concise way to explain the Force; it wasn't as if he'd ever been in a situation where he had to explain it.
Instead, he shrugged awkwardly. "I can use the Force to do a lot of things. Telekinesis, sensing when someone's lying, augmenting my speed and reflexes. Things like that."
There was a whole philosophical component to it, too, but he'd never really paid much attention to that.

Seriously. No points for good parenting, Han and Leia.

Make Use of the Course
Re: Make Use of the Course
A moment later, there were some shards and a bit of dust remaining.
"That's something I can do," she told him.
Re: Make Use of the Course
And then he broke into a wide grin.
"I can do something kind of like that, too," he announced, looking rather pleased. "Training with things like that, I have actual experience with! My Uncle Cluster made certain of that!"

He spent a good fifteen minutes just looking over the course, chewing his lip in concentration.
By the time he actually ran it, it was in a ridiculously short period of time. By his standards it wasn't terribly flashy (because of that whole efficiency thing), but he clocked a pretty impressive time.
After that, he headed for the targets with a pleased grin on his face.
Talk to the Leaders
Re: Talk to the Leaders
So he was going to try to be good and stay somewhere that was easy for the club members to get to, but could anybody really blame him, either, if he took off from time to time to fire some eye-blasts at the targets?

So don't mind the tall guy in scarlet and purple outfit with a cape and helmet. He's just judging everything you do to see if you could be an asset or a threat.
