Club Fair, Gym, Friday Afternoon
Jackson got to the gym early. He took his mission of establishing a sports team in Fandom pretty seriously, see. That involved making something of an effort, and showing up early to check out the competition (yes, he viewed the other clubs as competition, deal with it) was the least he could do.
He grabbed a copy of the club schedule for himself before he went to set up his table.

He'd be running back and forth between this table and the science club one, looking slightly flaily, every few minutes or so. Club fair! Things to do!
The excitement might very well be the end of him, at this rate.
Re: Talk to the Representatives – Junior Achievers [CF Fall 2012]
There were some people who didn't think this was a good idea. Not the club itself, but its advisors.
"There wasn't...anyone else available?" she asked Evan. "Anyone? At all? Did you check with Fosse, the janitorial troll?"

He needed this reminder!

A good guy!

Could she maybe get Bobby over to the island, stat? Have him explain a few pertinent facts to the poor kid before he hero-worshipped himself into an early grave.

He was going to stand fiercely by that one, a little resolve sneaking into his voice at the end of that statement, his shoulders squaring. It would probably be cute, if not for the 'standing up for the honor of a terrorist' thing.
"He wouldn't be teaching here if he hadn't, would he?"
Re: Talk to the Representatives – Junior Achievers [CF Fall 2012]
That was not meant to be reassuring to you, Evan.
Re: Talk to the Representatives – Junior Achievers [CF Fall 2012]
It... was a very loose definition of 'friends.'

"Deadpool isn't entirely sane." And yet was on the administration of the school! Karla's point? FANDOM SOMETIMES HAD REALLY
awesomeLOW STANDARDS.Re: Talk to the Representatives – Junior Achievers [CF Fall 2012]
"... And that makes him a bad person?"
Yeah, Evan still wasn't seeing Karla's point. His best friend at his last school had a habit of peeling off all of his clothes and flying around naked. Sanity need not apply.

... If kind of worrisome.
"And the X-Men?" He frowned at her, shaking his head. "I know he's done bad things in the past. I've taken mutant history classes at the Jean Grey School, you know. But I don't think most of the teachers here are all that innocent. And there's a pretty small number of ones that we can turn to who have experience training superhumans."
And there was at least one that he knew of who would flat-out refuse, so long as he was involved. He didn't say that part, but he let it hang there for her to pick up on, if she cared to try.
Re: Talk to the Representatives – Junior Achievers [CF Fall 2012]
"I'm not arguing that," Karla drawled. "Most of them have blood on their hands and I doubt that they've all checked to make sure that the blood was innocent. But there's a difference between that and actually targeting them as a way to get his own way."
Re: Talk to the Representatives – Junior Achievers [CF Fall 2012]
"You were in class today too," he said, softly. "And you said yourself you're dating an Angel. When people are willing to go that far to exterminate us... I just..."
He huffed softly, not entirely certain where he wanted to go with that. Or if he wanted to go there at all.
"He hasn't done anything here, has he? Can you at least grant him that much?"
