Hiding in Plain Sight, Wednesday, Period Four
When Bond's class arrived at the Danger Shop, they would have found themselves on a balcony overlooking a crowded marketplace, one long enough that they could all take a place at the railing against which Bond was currently leaning.
"Good afternoon," he greeted them. "The thing with learning to blend in, is that you just can't just be given a list of dos and don'ts which are universally applicable. While there are certain things which may hold true, such as the fact there is nothing as conspicuous as someone trying too hard to be inconspicuous, every situation is different, and the only way to learn how to blend in across multiple situations is to learn to read them and thus to figure out what behaviour stands out and which blends in. So today we're going to be doing some simple observation exercises. I want you to watch the people below us as they go about their business, and note down anything which seems out of place or which draws your eye. I also want you to figure out why it did so. After a while we'll observe a different group of people and do the same thing."
