Philosophy 102- Monday- 1st period- Class #1

And once again, the Danger Shop theater was a go, with Jaye at the front of the room. To be honest, she'd missed it. Not because she liked the work or teaching or dealing with kids or anything, but she liked being totally able to boss people around.

"Welcome to Philosophy 102, or as I like to call it, 'No, really, we're just going to watch movies,'" Jaye said. "I'm Jaye, and... I guess you can tell me your name if you want? And like if you believed the class description when you signed up because last time I did this class no one did."

And after any and all introductions were done, and Jaye looked slightly less bored listening to people, she said, "And for our first class, we're going to watch a movie. It's called dear lord the meta for Arachnoquake. Enjoy." She was just about to head to hear seat at the back of the theater, and then stopped. "Oh, and at the end of the class I want you to write a short, paragraph-long essay on what you think the filmmaker was trying to say. You know, from a philosophical standpoint."

Welcome to the very first class of the new semester, boys and girls.

"I'm Jack," he said with a grin. "I thought this was a real class and I think the is the best FREAKING class ever."

After two semesters of weird classes... Jack was very happy.

He was never much of a student. He also hadn't seen the movie yet.

"I'm Dave," Dave said. "And I wasn't sure, but I figured I'd give it a shot. Worse case, I'd learn something."

"I'm Jim," he introduced, even waving at his fellow students because he was just that kind of guy. "And I just kind of closed my eyes and pointed when I picked my classes so I didn't really even think about it. Guess my finger pointing skills are better than even I thought."

"Hi, I'm Juliet," Juliet said. "Jeremy's twin and Jim's fake sister." The two boys mentioned got a little wave there assuming they were in class. "I knew this was a movies class, but I wanted to do that. I like movies. And what's senior year for if not a couple blow-off classes?"

Juliet had actually been taking blow-off classes since she started at Fandom. But now she had a better excuse.

"I'm Olive," she said, waving a little, "and I thought it was real but I'm totally okay with it being movies. I can buffer my GPA a little. It's like how no one fails gym, either."

Arietty stood up from where she was perched on the back of one of the seats and held up a tiny megaphone that looked like it was made out of a rolled up piece of a box of jujubees. "Hi!" she called through it. "I'm Arietty Clock. And I was hoping the description was true, because I love movies."

"I'm Petra West," Petra said, "and I took 101 so I was pretty much banking on this being a movies class."
