Umbridge High School Building, Saturday Evening

There were some clouds hanging around the spires of Umbridge High School, but not enough; there was an overlaying sense that there shouldn't be as much sunlight shining down on it as there was.

It was quiet. Kind of. There was tension in the air, a wound-up strung-up thing that ensnared the school. Somehow it seemed as if even the birds didn't want to touch down on the building itself, and the gates seemed to fold into themselves, even if they weren't quite shut.

And all that on a weekend, too.

Clint dodged the first star, but the second one hit him in the chest. His armor took most of the brunt of the hit, but it still stung, and after pulling the star free, Clint took his time making his next shot, wanting to make Billy hurt just as much.

Billy had three more stars, but he suspected they wouldn't be as effective as he'd liked. This guy was good after all.

Let's see how he is up close.

Of course the best way to take out Clint would have been with a sniper rifle while he was fighting someone else.

But his training had not in fact, included sniping.

One more star towards Clint's face to distract him, and then he leaped at the man, katana drawn.

Clint rolled out of the way, just missing the katana strike, and swung his bow at Billy's head, hoping to strike him and knock him out.

Billy blocked the bow with his forearm. Ouch. But he could take that. Spinning, he launched a round house kick with his prosthetic leg. It was a lot stronger than his real one.

Looks at previous entry. Huh, right character, wrong journal. Inappropriate smirk for the situation. Heh.

Clint jumped away from the kick, and jabbed his bow at Billy to try to knock him away, before reaching to fire an arrow at him. He didn't like doing it at close range, but there wasn't much of a choice now.

This time Billy swung his katana at the bow. He'd really like to take that out of the equation.

Oh Billy, no one hurt Clint's precious bow. Clint growled, pulling his bow back before the katana could damage it, and fired at Billy again, aiming for his chest.

Billy was wearing armor too. He jerked to the side, the arrowhead skipping across his kevlar, slicing his shoulder as it went on it's merry way.

Billy hardly registered the wound, beyond another internal "ouch", and dove forward again.

He swiped low with the katana, and aimed a stiff fingered jab for Clint's throat.

Billy's technique was good, and swift, but a bit rusty to tell the truth. He'd trained, but that didn't really compare to actual experience, which he hadn't gotten since Umbridge took over.

Thankfully, all of Clint's years of SHIELD training were still in his head. He ducked away from the katana, swearing at how close Billy got, and fired towards Billy's neck in return. He didn't have time to find a weak spot in the guy's armor, not when he was this skilled.

That and Clint had actively been using all that training.

He twisted away from the arrow, but not fast or far enough. He felt the arrow puncture his throat, missing his windpipe. But the burst of hot blood let him know he didn't have much time left.

He was so high on the adrenaline from the fight however that he never consciously registered his impending death. Small mercies.

Instead, he made one last lunge, thrusting with the katana at Clint's hip, and almost simultaneously palming his remaining stars and swiping with his other hand at his killer's face.

If only Billy'd been blindfolded. He would destroyed Clint then. whatever I need to tell myself

Clint dodged the swipe to his pretty pretty face, but the katana caught him across the leg. That was going to leave a nice mark, and Clint shoved at Billy to try to get him to go down and stay down.

Not a problem there. Billy wouldn't be getting up again. Shame, Billy had kind of hoped to get blood (even his own) all over Umbridge's pristine pink outfit. Just to freak her out.

But Billy wasn't really thinking about that, or anything else now. One of the side effects of bleeding out.
