Umbridge High School Building, Saturday Evening

There were some clouds hanging around the spires of Umbridge High School, but not enough; there was an overlaying sense that there shouldn't be as much sunlight shining down on it as there was.

It was quiet. Kind of. There was tension in the air, a wound-up strung-up thing that ensnared the school. Somehow it seemed as if even the birds didn't want to touch down on the building itself, and the gates seemed to fold into themselves, even if they weren't quite shut.

And all that on a weekend, too.

"Y-your friend?" Rapunzel didn't let go of her knees, but she did stop shivering a bit, her natural empathy coming forward.

"Yeah." Normally Dinah would be handling this better, but, well. Shot. "Sam. He's really tall and really cute and he has floppy brown hair-- kind of the same color as yours--" She gulped. "And dimples. And, I just, I want out of here, before Bruce or someone brings the roof down, and no offense but you're kinda tiny, kid." She leaned her head back against the wall, voice slurring. "What's your name?"

"R-Rapunzel..." Her eyes were wide.

"You... you think I can help?" Even though she couldn't heal anyone anymore.

"Think you can try," Dinah said, then shivered, hard. Shock setting in. Damnit. "I'm just gonna lie down. Prop my feet on this nice wall." She tilted her head at Rapunzel. "'M Dinah... please."

"I-I just have to find Sam? Your friend?" Her eyes were wide in a combination of worry and hope. "Just... find him?"

She... she could still do that. Maybe.

"And don't get hurt." Now that Dinah was lying down, feet propped up, her head was starting to clear. And the exhaustion was hitting her. "I don't want you to get hurt, okay? If you can't find him, just... come back and tell me." And they'd get out then. Even if Dinah had to belly-crawl out of there.

Rapunzel shook her head, letting go of her knees and shakily pushing herself to her feet. "It doesn't matter." If she got hurt, that was.

"I-I'll be back as soon as I can," Rapunzel promised, walking by Dinah without looking at the other girl too carefully. She suspected that she was very badly wounded, and being reminded that there was nothing that she could do about that would hurt way too much.
