Umbridge High School Building, Saturday Evening

There were some clouds hanging around the spires of Umbridge High School, but not enough; there was an overlaying sense that there shouldn't be as much sunlight shining down on it as there was.

It was quiet. Kind of. There was tension in the air, a wound-up strung-up thing that ensnared the school. Somehow it seemed as if even the birds didn't want to touch down on the building itself, and the gates seemed to fold into themselves, even if they weren't quite shut.

And all that on a weekend, too.

It banged off his kinetic barrier, which flared up blue briefly before settling back down. "Just surrender now," Kaidan said, approaching her, "And I'll try and talk Umbridge around, okay?"

Damn, it sucked when the people you were fighting had shields of their own.

Maybe it was time for the brute force method.

Isabel hand shot out towards him. This time instead of telekinetic tug on the gun in his hand, Kaidan should feel an adrenaline fueled shove against his whole body.

His shields flared up bright again, but this time, Kaidan found himself forced to step back under the force of it all-- more than step back, actually, as he fell backwards and flailed around for something to grab a hold of.

As it turned out, it was mostly the wall getting a hold of his head.

Another time Isabel might have checked on the guy. Instead she settled for felt vaguely guilty for not checking. But she had a witch to rescue and a promise to a demon to keep.

When Isabel had shoved her, Phoebe had known that something was not good. When she saw the fight, she had to keep herself from jumping at the man to help Isabel.

When she realized the man was down and out, she got back to her feet and then back to Isabel's side.

"You all right?"

Isabel had already scrambled to her feet, a wary eye still on the fallen figure. "I'm fine. But I'd just as soon not go for a second round. Let's get out here."

"My thoughts exactly," Wyatt said, coming up behind him. He'd ~~handwavily~~ had his hands full for a few minutes, but now he just wanted to grab his aunt and Isabel and get them out of this hellhole.

Phoebe turned her head and smiled at her nephew. God, it was good to see him with his power again.

"Yes. We need to get out of here."

And Phoebe needed to see Cole before her body collapsed from pain and exhaustion.

It didn't occur to her ask where they were going. She trusted that Wyatt would get the three of them somewhere that they would all be safe.

Another familiar face accounted for Isabel realized as she turned around. "Wyatt, hey. You can get us out?"

Because following the Hulk out the hole in the wall didn't sound like the best idea.

"I can orb again," Wyatt said, nodding. He looked around; things seemed to be under control and the Hulk had left an escape route for anyone who was left.

"C'mon, let's go," he said, putting his hands on their shoulders and orbing them out of detention.
