Detention, Depths of the Castle, Friday
So, one of the important things to realize about detention was that the monotony of everyone's daily lives was part of the punishment. That meant that even though someone had died yesterday, the day's schedule didn't change a bit.
After all, most of your little lives just weren't that important in the grand scheme of things.

"We were okay. We were!" She was crying again. That deep bone hurting kind of crying. "I don't know what happened, Dinah. I don't. I remember but then things get twisted and I can't follow it and nothing is like I thought and things were supposed to be okay."
Love love love rang through her head like a church bell trying to clear away a storm.

And she sent the whole thing back to Momoko, exactly the way it had slipped out to Dinah, so Momoko could see it again. You loved him, love him, that has to be stronger than any stupid spell!

"I... I remember. We were going to go away. Tokyo in cherry blossom season. And he called me. Every night. Even if we'd just been together for dinner. He'd call to say goodnight. He was going to cook our picnic. He promised. It was real. That was real, right?"

She hugged Momoko as hard as she could, rocking her. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I'm sorry... I missed you. I missed him. I wanted you to be happy together.
