Detention, Depths of the Castle, Friday
So, one of the important things to realize about detention was that the monotony of everyone's daily lives was part of the punishment. That meant that even though someone had died yesterday, the day's schedule didn't change a bit.
After all, most of your little lives just weren't that important in the grand scheme of things.

She crouched down beside him, touching the fingers of one hand to his head. "Today I shall give you...indifference," she said. "You will feel nothing. You will care about nothing." A random decision or a statement on herself? Could be either.
It wasn't so much a forcing of an emotion on him this day. It was eating every little spark of passion, good or bad, in his soul. He had so much rage in him, but she wouldn't let him ignite it.

Jamie let out one more incoherent scream at Raven before dropping to the floor in a stupor.

However, he'd distracted her enough that she'd left Bruce's attitude adjustment half-finished. Ooops.
