Detention, Depths of the Castle, Thursday

Another beautiful day had begun in Fandom, not that anyone in detention would have noticed. The lack of sunlight, the pleasant sound of Umbridge's voice, and the slightly stale smell of breakfast were all important aspects to making every day in detention routine! Surely everyone knew that surprises were no fun.

Look, the week was half over already and no one had been taken out and killed so far. That had to count for something, right?

It might not be considered food by any actual chefs, but it was warm and you were lucky to have it.

Jaye was spending a lot of time frowning at her breakfast. Why couldn't they have what they had yesterday? That'd been good, at least.

Stannis was wondering if he was actually starting to enjoy the food here, or if that was all in his head.

Somehow, he thought it could be much worse, after all.

Yeah, even Kate (who had pretty low food standards) wasn't eating this. She wouldn't feed it to her non-existent dog.

She was however considering the merits of flicking it at one or other of her fellow prisoners.

At least it was warm again? Dojima was possibly trying to poke designs in the food to entertain herself, and if a few looked like old runes which she quickly wiped away, well, sometimes it was worth it to see if the Old Craft could over-power whatever magic that Witch used.

After feeling a bit down yesterday and not really touching his food, Zayne was back to a more neutral place today. Still confident that eventually things would work out, less confident that the food wouldn't kill him. By bludgeoning.

Alex really didn't care if it was warm or cold. It was still just whatever. When he got out of here the first thing he was going to do was eat real food.
