Detention, Depths of the Castle, Tuesday

Another bright, shining, and pink day had begun for the prisoners guests being held in detention, and while the morning started off the same as the day before, there was a strange sort of feeling in the air once people began waking up. A kind of... musical feeling, in fact.

Umbridge might have taken over the island, but the island still had a mind of her own, thank you very much.

[No, the barriers of detention cannot save you from Once More With Fandom Day! The OCD is up, so have at it!]

Raven shook her head. "No, no more today," she said. He and Dinah were making her confused. She had to focus.

"Time to put the toys away. We will play later."

//Well, I'm here if you need me.// Where else would he be? //When you're feeling up to slipping back into routine.//

And if he was projecting that pity a little hard, what of it?

The pity bothered her. A lot. It made her angry, and it made her guilty. She didn't deserve it. Hate was better; she could deal with that. But she couldn't shield it out, and it crawled over her skin like spiders.

"Oh, I will definitely be back," she said, trying to hide how much it affected her. "You are one of my favorites, after all. I cannot leave you alone for along."

//We should all be so lucky. Run along now, little puppet. I'm certain your mistress has some errand or other for you to run for her, in any case.//

And he would sit here until the next time, quietly revelling in something that was so close to a small victory.
