"Hey, Elric," says Anders through a mouthful of sandwich as he sits down.

"Hey," Edward says in reply, poking at his sandwich. With the fork. "Hey, maybe you know. What the hell's a "Pheelly?"" He eyes his sandwich. "It's not some sort of weird animal, right?"

"I got no clue, man, but it doesn't taste too bad." Anders shrugs. "And it's got steak in the name, so I'm guessing it's, you know, steak."

He takes another bite, chewing carefully. "Well, it doesn't taste like anything too weird, but that might not be saying much. Y'know, your brother makes a pretty decent spaghetti." Because that was a logical progression of thought.

Edward did not point out that because the food had 'steak' in its name did not mean it was entirely composed of beef product. He instead actually took a bite of the sandwich, decided it was good and dug into it.

"Mph, Al's always been a good cook," Edward said, his mouth full. "He figured if he didn't feed me I'd probably end up starving in the library, I guess."

Thankfully, Anders remained blissfully ignorant (which happened to him a lot) of the . . . potentially flexible nature of the word "steak," though it's entirely up in the air as to how much that knowledge would have impacted the way he was practically inhaling the sandwich anyway.

"Yeah. He wasn't too sure how well it'd come out, but I kind of demolished a plate and a half of it, so I think it was pretty good." Anders looked a little bit perturbed. "I should really learn to cook sometime. I feel behind the curve or something."
