Library, Monday

When William entered the library on this particular first day of a new semester, he was greeted with... a booming noise that sounded suspiciously like a clap of thunder.

Thankfully, there was no lightning or even rain to go accompany it, though the lights did flicker.

It wasn't an isolated incident, either. After the first couple of times, William became accustomed enough to the interruptions that he stopped giving a startled jump every time they occured.

Now that the office had become more satisfactory in its nest-like qualities (though he had yet to procure a hammock), the Librarian settled behind the desk to get to something actually somewhat business related, which was putting together guidelines for his library aides and putting together something for the spots that needed to be filled.

Even if he wasn't exactly sure how he felt about these library aides in general. It just seemed foolish to put such important tasks into the hands of students. But he simply had to remind himself that he wasn't dealing with Wizards here, and that made him feel slightly more reassured.

"Ook ook," said the Librarian, distractedly, as he shuffled through some papers with his large catcher's mitt hands. And then he lifted his eyes to regard the young man with a question of, "Ook ook ook?"
