Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part III

Some extra tables had been set up in the shade of the trees on the lawn, away from the buffet in spots where it might be less crowded and much quieter. Well, aside from the mariachi band, but at least their music was entertaining? They might even take requests!

Kenzi had collapsed in the shade, full of food, watching the newbies try not to freak out, and happily sipping a lemonade.

Darcy was sitting cross-legged on the lawn, a plate of food balanced on her legs and an amused expression on her face.

Atton still had his stack of cards, but by now he'd put them aside to plow through some actual dinner.

Earth cuisine definitely wasn't bad, though that might just be recent experience with Nar Shaddaa talking.

"What's that?" Rapunzel asked, leaning over to point at something on Darcy's plate that she wasn't familiar with.

Oh! A face that Rapunzel didn't recognize! (Hopefully that meant that the face belonged to someone actually new and she wasn't about to embarrass herself...)

"Hi!" she chirped, bouncing over toward Atton with a grin. "You're new!"

That was probably the biggest lie he'd told so far. Atton could complain about anything. "Haven't seen much of it, to be honest."

Bucky stood by the mariachi band and did the chicken dance.

So far, it hadn't attracted any tasty, tasty chickens. That was possibly because Bucky was doing it wrong, but also possibly because he misunderstood what the purpose of the dance actually was.

There was a sparrow looking at him funny, though, so... that was a start?

"You're sure?" Rapunzel was not thinking about the fact that Darcy could always go get more if she wanted.

"But it does look good..." So she reached out and took one, holding it up to examine it critically.
