Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part III

Some extra tables had been set up in the shade of the trees on the lawn, away from the buffet in spots where it might be less crowded and much quieter. Well, aside from the mariachi band, but at least their music was entertaining? They might even take requests!

Bucky stood by the mariachi band and did the chicken dance.

So far, it hadn't attracted any tasty, tasty chickens. That was possibly because Bucky was doing it wrong, but also possibly because he misunderstood what the purpose of the dance actually was.

There was a sparrow looking at him funny, though, so... that was a start?

Pinkie saw the cat dancing and decided to join in.

Bucky stopped dancing so he could put his paws on his hips and glare at her.

"Well, obviously, there aren't any, because you're scaring them all away. And maybe the band is playing the music wrong. It's a well-known fact that chickens find this dance irresistible."

"You know," Pinkie asked, still dancing. "I don't even remember seeing any chickens on the island before."

"Chicken farmer," Bucky corrected snottily. "And, next to Colonel Sanders, one of the least hatable humans.

"It's good not to hate things," she said. "That's a big part of being friends.'

That was supposed to be an insult, yes.

She was okay with being compared to a dog, actually.

Hey! There was a cat doing the chicken dance! And Miss Pie was joining in!

Why, if that didn't make Butters want to join on in and do it, too, he didn't know what would!

Plus, Butters brought some lyrics to the table:

Aw, the dancing kitty cat didn't like his singing. Butters stopped mid butt-shake to lower his head in shame.

"Bad," he said. "It feels real bad. So...how do the words go?"
