Some extra tables had been set up in the shade of the trees on the lawn, away from the buffet in spots where it might be less crowded and much quieter. Well, aside from the mariachi band, but at least their music was entertaining? They might even take requests!

Considering that Britta had nearly ran poor Frank over being distracted by the hot piece of LARPing beef strutting around the place, Britta realized it would be pretty silly if she let a potential interaction go to waste. So she was glad to spot him again and mosey on over to say hi.

"Hi," she said, "new student here, right?"

"What gave it away?" Ulrik had to ask. "Was it the clothes? It's probably the clothes, isn't it?"

"It was mostly that I'm pretty sure I would have remembered seeing you around before." Yup. Britta just went there. "The clothes were a pretty good confirmation, though."'

She smiled, a little crookedly, in what she assumed was a sexy sort of smile. "I'm Britta."

"Definitely," Britta said, nodding emphatically before she wondered if that was a little too obvious, so she back up a little with a less whole-hearted, "maybe. So, what's with the get-up? Is that what they wear where you're from?"
