Fandom High Graduation Ceremony, Class of 2012, Early Saturday Evening (Part 1)
With things back to normal - or as normal as Fandom ever got - preparations for graduation had gone into full swing. The ceremony was set for right after sunset, to make sure all types of guests could safely attend, and the lawn had been lit up with blue and gold lights, creating safe paths in which to walk to the seating area and giving everything a twinkling, serene appearance.
Of course, the staff knew that graduation was rarely a serene event, and the fact that Ingvar's volcano was being unusually active emphasized the need to prepare the seniors as much as possible. Last year's cache of weapons had been discreetly stashed in a trunk behind the podium...and yes, they'd all been properly cleaned. Who knew what dried Viking blood could do to metal?
Once everything had been arranged, the guests were let in, and all that was left was to pray everything went smoothly.

Warren Worthington III
Re: Warren Worthington III
At least he managed to look the very image of composed as he walked up to get his diploma. And if he spread his wings a little as he took it in his hand, well, that was a 'mutant and proud' moment, if ever he saw one.
He did it!
Re: Warren Worthington III
"GO WARREN! WHOOOO!"
Oh yeah, and she was really loud.
Re: Warren Worthington III
Hercules still thought he was funny.
Re: Warren Worthington III
So he would get clapped for and he would like it, was the moral of the story here.
Re: Warren Worthington III
He did always have a weakness for symbolism.

And Bobby made sure everyone damn well knew it, with the amount of cheering that was happening here.
Re: Warren Worthington III
They could pose for a photo or something later.
She was laughing as she applauded. And if she clapped harder when he spread his wings, so be it.

Re: Warren Worthington III
*I love you,* she sent on a psychic thread. *And I'm so very, very proud of you!*

He settled for cheering loudly and whistling. The kind of piercing whistle that could make ears ring.
Re: Warren Worthington III
He deserved it.
Re: Warren Worthington III
His eyes might have been a little bright as he clapped.
Re: Warren Worthington III
And then, she was crying, remembering how shy about his wings he'd been when they'd first met and now so proud...
Why couldn't she clap harder?
They were totally going flying tonight, right? Once more around the old island?
