Everyday Skills, Friday 2nd Period
As the class entered, Oz numbered them off by four and flipped a coin, handing them a small bag of candy afterwards.
"Persuasion," Oz began, once all the candy had been distributed. "Someone has something you want, you intend on getting it. Maybe you have something they want, maybe you have something you can make them want, point is, play your cards right and everyone wins, but especially you."
"Now you've all got some candy, there's different kinds, and some of you have more than others. The aim of today's class is to have as much of your preferred candy as you want by the end of the class, using any means that won't land you in detention or jail to get it."
"Have at it, kids."

Candy Bartering - ES [14]
chocolate eclairs. Heads start out with twelve pieces of candy, tails with sixteen.
Oz means it when he says you can use any method that won't get you into trouble if he catches you at it.

She took a moment to adjust her top -- the buttons, specifically -- and leaned against the wall, assured of her inevitable success.
Rebecca had a really overblown opinion of how hot she actually was, yes.
Re: Candy Bartering - ES [14]
The earnestness, Rebecca. It's so earnest and wholesome.
Re: Candy Bartering - ES [14]
And then she smirked, because, come on. 'Tighten up the button holes.' Of course her mind was going to go there.
"Thanks," she said, very sweetly, "but you can tell Peter I'm all right as is."
Beat.
"Would you like some barley sugar?"
Re: Candy Bartering - ES [14]
Yes, she sounded like a grandmother. A judgey, judgey grandmother.
"And thank you! I'd love some."
Re: Candy Bartering - ES [14]
Beat.
"And you should probably fix that stain," she added in a hushed whisper, pointing at a perfectly stain-free spot on the side of Rilla's sleeve.
Re: Candy Bartering - ES [14]
Not without taking the candy, though. She had eclairs to get out of this deal, you know.
Re: Candy Bartering - ES [14]
Now, how to go about persuading people to give her more of it? About the only method she could think of was good old Bat-intimidation, but wow, would that ever blow her cover in class, so no. And ahahaha, like she had any confidence in her ability to persuade people otherwise.

She checked her wallet to see how much money she had. She could just buy up all the other candy.
Re: Candy Bartering - ES [14]
Woo. He was truly blessed. Or cursed. He wasn't sure which, and he didn't particularly care.
So he was sitting back and eating one of said eclairs, rolling his eyes over Rebecca's over-the-top display and thinking about the intel he'd gotten from an Indonesian spy just that morning.

Re: Candy Bartering - ES [14]
Admittedly, the thought of spiking Rebecca did hold some joy.
Re: Candy Bartering - ES [14]
Rilla had a slightly confused view of feminism.
Re: Candy Bartering - ES [14]
Like he was going to keep to Oz's assignment when he could just amuse himself, and make sure nobody else distracted his thoughts from now on.

Peter felt satisfied about this.

Hmph.
Re: Candy Bartering - ES [14]
So good!
Re: Candy Bartering - ES [14]
"Acid drop is a weird name for a candy," Richie announced. "Sounds more like something you'd get from a shady looking guy in an alley."
Way to sell the candy there, Richie. Nice job.
