Today upon entering the classroom the students would notice that there were art stations set up around the room along with various paints for them to use. And baskets of eggs.

One thing that seemed to be lacking would be paintbrushes but we'll get to that in a bit.

The other thing they might notice is that Jamie and Jeff are wearing bunny suits. We'll get to that in a bit as well.

"Good morning class!" Jamie said cheerfully. "Today we're going to get our Bob Ross on and exercise our artistic ability!"

Next to Jamie, Jeff was... holding up his hands like he was a cartoon bunny. There might have actually been some hopping involved. "HELLO CLASS!" he... shouted. "This is the season of EGGS! Eggs! Laid by chickens, not like--" He cut himself off. "Eggs. We'll be painting them! With our hands!"

Bunny wiggle.

"Why?" Jamie asked rhetorically. "Because sometimes artistic expression needs to happen between the person and the medium without anything getting in the way."

And it might also be because Jamie forgot to get paint brushes.

"And also because chickens don't have fingers," said Jeff, "So we should celebrate the things we have." That... was him just making things up as they went ahead.

He hopped forward and wriggled his nose. "You know... Chickens don't have to sit when they go to the toilet," he added. "Or... other things..."

It was at that point one of Jamie's bunny ears flopped down and hit him in the face. "Do I want to know what other things chickens don't sit down for Jeff?" Jamie asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I don't think we can talk about that in class, Jamie," Jeff said solemnly. "I'll explain it later!"

"Right," Jamie said with a nod which flipped his other ear in his face. "In the meantime grab some eggs and start painting. And no throwing of the eggs. Or hiding the eggs. Or throwing of eggs at your fellow students. Or teachers."

Earth holiday customs were so weird.

Raven settled at her desk to try to paint some eggs, being especially careful not to get any brightly-colored paint (ick) on her black clothes.

"Come on, put a bit more passion into it!"

Jeff was trying to be encouraging. While hopping up behind her in a bunny costume. Yeah.

"But I do not wish to make a mess," Raven protested. She'd been practically dainty with how she touched the paint with her fingertips and then applied it to the egg.

Jeff fixed her with a stern look.

The bunny ear that flopped over in his face kind of took the sting out of it.

"Learn to live on the edge, Raven! Eggs wait for no man!"

Cara wasn't throwing or hiding eggs. She did however seemed to have the worst luck with knocking hers off her workspace.

How clumsy of her.

"The trick is not to flail your elbows so much," Jeff said sagely as he hopped past. "I know it's hard, but you'll get the hang of it!" He hadn't.

This was weird. Juliet tried it anyhow, dabbing the teensiest bit of paint on one index finger and frequently wiping it clean on a tissue.

"It won't break that easily. You can put a bit more on there," Jeff encouraged, though he didn't sound entirely sure of his premise. "...I think. Don't quote me on that. Eggs are really unpredictable."

Juliet smiled a bit earnestly. "I just don't want to break it," she said. "It's that ... unpredictable thing. I could poke the shell too hard and it would all come gushing out, and then there'd just be goop. Everywhere."

Also, the paint was icky. There was a lot of ick potential inherent in this activity. She hoped Jeff would understand.

"Juliet, Juliet, Juliet," Jeff said. He was stalling for time because he was trying to think of something.

"Just think of this:" Beat. "Hens."

"Hens," Juliet repeated, and then looked to Jeffrey, completely confused.

He had more to say on the subject, right?

"Aren't we supposed to use dye?" Rilla inquired.

Don't splatter them with eggs. Or paint.

Honestly, if they hadn't specifically told them not to, Sam would be over here throwing eggs at people to start an egg fight.

Instead, she was over here looking for loopholes so she could start an egg fight and not break her amazing record for not getting in trouble.

Maybe she should crack them over people's heads. That wasn't throwing or hiding.

Miley was here, and quiet, and painting sad little stars on a sad-looking egg.

Don't you judge her.

Who still haven't explained why they're in bunny suits.

And they probably never will explain why they're in bunny suits.

However Jamie will note that they are more comfortable that a Snuggie.

It's like Shakespeare! But with a lot more punching!

I paid a very high price to find the image for this icon.

It was worth it. I promise.
