Hercules led his students into the Danger Shop once more, this time to a grassy meadow that appeared to be populated with... saddled Pegasi. The sky above them was clear and friendly, and the meadow was filled with green grass and blooming flowers.

"Now today," Hercules started the lecture, "I am going to talk about my half-brother Perseus. Somewhat of a superhero of his day, Perseus did things like slay the Medusa. I even currently possess his shield, which bears the image of the Medusa on its front. He is also famous for marrying the beautiful Andromeda after he saved her from a terrible sea monster. But really, that's not what any of you care about now that you see these beautiful winged steeds."

He chuckled. "Part of the story of Perseus is that at one time, he flew on the back of the mighty Pegasus. A smart and noble creature, these simulations are based off the original. And yes, the rest of the class is to fly around on their backs. Mount up, and luckily they are smart enough to not crash into each other in the air. Have fun, come to me with questions, and Karla, if you could please see me after class."

The whole mythology bit of the lecture was something Luke had learned a while ago back at camp. He was actually doing a pretty good job of zoning out until they got to the activity bit. Luke was not a big fan of Pegasi. If he was going to fly he'd do it himself courtesy of his shoes, thank you. So he'd be sitting this out today.

The Pegasi (or is it Pegasuses?) are friendly and eager to take you up in the air.

He's more than happy to talk with you.

Karla had an idea or two what this could be about. After all, she'd sold a possible future daughter of his several items from 'Dite's store. She was, however, going to play dumb for as long as she could. Because it was fun that way.

"Yes?" she asked, approaching Herc after the bell for class had wrong. "You wanted to see me?"

"I did," Hercules said, as he had a very important question. "Can you explain to me what exactly you were doing with my daughter this past weekend?"

...He wasn't really upset, he just wanted to see how Karla would react.

How about an innocent look and a bland smile? "I'm afraid you're going to have to be more specific. Sir."

Especially since Karla hadn't even met Betty until Monday!

"Betty. Dark hair, red skin, bit of an attitude problem?" Hercules said. "She said you were responsible for a certain... purchase of hers."

Still maintaining a serious demeanor, even if he was jesting.

"I'm sorry, Professor," Karla said, eyes even more innocent if that were possible. "If someone named Betty did purchase a product from our store--"

And, say, had a 'Dite's bag and a 'Dite's receipt that had, Hi, Herc! <3 Karla written on it. For example.

"--Dite's Decadent Delights has a strict confidentiality agreement with all of our customers."

It didn't extend to squirrels, obviously.

"A confidentiality agreement about..." Hercules couldn't keep it up. He burst out laughing. "Very professional."

Karla grinned back and dipped a small curtsy. "We do strive for the utmost in customer satisfaction at Dite's," she said.

Beat.

"That came out a lot more wrong than it had been intended."

Hercules laughed again. "Here's hoping she gets some use out of it. If she'd been trying to fluster me it didn't work."

"Did she try telling you that she got it for you?" Karla asked. "If she got anything, I mean."

"She tried but I pointed out the impracticality of it. In enough detail to get her to blush. I think. I'm not sure you'd be able to see it," Hercules said.

"I'll take your word for it," Karla said hastily. "No need for you to repeat it."

Hercules laughed again. "Good. I suppose there isn't a lesson I can teach, here."

I'll be at class for a few hours, then be back around!
