The Elements of Friendship, Thursday, Period 3
The Danger Shop today was set up as a cozy little reading room, filled with bean bag chairs, giant floor cushions, and even the occasional arm chair or two -- which was impressive when you factored in that the teacher who'd programmed the thing didn't have arms.
"Hi everypony! Today we're going to talk about one of my friend Twilight's very favorite things to do: reading! Reading can be so much fun! Even if you have all the adventures in your own world every day, there are still bunches and bunches of more adventures you can have through reading a book! To prove it, I was going to have you all live out one of the adventures of the very best fictional action pony ever, Daring-Do!" Pinkie grinned, waiting for the excited gasps of the students, then went on. "Unfortunately, it turns out it's really hard to get this thing to make Ahuitzotl, the dog-monkey bad guy with an extra hand at the end of his tail, so instead, you can all read about it, instead."
Because programming a five-handed blue Aztec creature was totally way harder then trying to get the Danger Shop to create copies of a book several dimensions removed from its dimension of origin.
"So everypony grab a seat and find a book and get reading! Yay!"

Read a book [3/29]
It's possible that the books that aren't Daring-Do created by the Danger Shop are just filled with blank pages. Pinkie's not great at forethought.
Re: Read a book [3/29]
AND it was great to be able to read something new! Reading the same three books over and over at home had kind of gotten boring after a while. So she plopped down on a cushion, legs curled up under her, and bent over the pages.
An occasional squeak of gasp signaled especially exciting narrative twists.

"Where are all the pictures?" he grumbled.
Re: Read a book [3/29]
Look, he liked comics as much as the next nerd, and so far he wasn't the hugest Daring-Do fan and was mostly just drawing brains in the margins, but really.

"Why?"

meta forThe Rise of Arsenal?" He paused to let that sink in, then summed up, "It's not a perfect genre."Re: Read a book [3/29]
