Philosophy 101- Week #10- Period 4

Jaye had woken up with a sore throat today, and there was definitely some sniffling wanting to happen. Ordinarily she would just take it as a chance to call in sick, but sick days were no fun when you were actually feeling gross. Besides tomorrow was her birthday, and what had she done to deserve that?

Some people might say this was a sort of karma for taping people who weren't themselves that weekend, or that gremlin bite, or generally being a bad person, but Jaye would definitely not say that.

"Here, have a movie," she said. "Gwyneth Paltrow dies, it's the feel-good movie of the year. Enjoy."

What, that was really all she needed to say about it, sick of not.

Soon after her return from a business trip to Hong Kong, Beth Emhoff dies from what is a flu or some other type of infection. Her young son dies later the same day. Her husband Mitch however seems immune. Thus begins the spread of a deadly infection. For doctors and administrators at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, several days pass before anyone realizes the extent or gravity of this new infection. They must first identify the type of virus in question and then find a means of combating it, a process that will likely take several months. As the contagion spreads to millions of people worldwide, societal order begins to break down as people panic.

This movie, and a teacher who sounded like Jaye did today was just guaranteed to put Chuck into a manic hypochondriacal state. Just you watch.

Give it ten minutes in and he'd be quietly clearing his throat.

Tara was going to need to buy ALL THE HAND SANITIZER by the end of this movie. She watched it anyhow.

Scully was analyzing the procedures of the CDC responders and finding it disturbing but realistic.

But she really wanted to shoot Jude Law.
