Cassidy was slightly confused when she found books all about something called a "Rennaissance" all over the tables nearest the desk. Shaking her head, she gathered them all up to shelve them. Once she had returned them to their proper places, she started back to her desk ...

...only to find the books back on the table again.

It was going to be one of those days.

"Ben's doing better than he was when we came back, which is a relief," Ender supplied. He took a cookie for himself, too. "I've been fine; I've stopped finding glitter in my hair, which is a good sign."

"I'm glad for you both." She took a cookie, as well. "There did seem to be a great amount of glitter and paint on the trip." She grinned. "I saw Ben in one of the markets there and he told me about Topher dancing on the table for something called a boa?"

Ender blinked, then chuckled softly. "Ben and Tony dragged us all out to the Gay Ball," he admitted. "Topher was coerced to get into the spirit of things."

Not by him. It was not his type of humor.

"I'm still not sure I understand, even if I did look it up once we got back here." Of course she did. "But from what Ben said, it seemed that it was a fun and interesting experience?"

"It was certainly interesting," Ender said wryly. "A little over the top, though. It was... like a very large party, largely full of the costumed... though the costumes mostly seemed to involve glitter and bare chests on the men."

"They uhm... they didn't seem to wear very much clothing there, did they?" That was a blush on Cassidy's cheeks. "They were all very friendly, but I think the males there were confused when I kept walking away when they tried to get me to dance."

Or when she blushed and stammered and went immediately in the opposite direction. Same difference, really.

"Ben is worse off than I am with the glitter," Ender said, chuckling softly. "He decided to get with the trend, cover himself in body-paint, and walk around without his shirt on." He took a bite from his cookie. "Did you have fun, at least?"

"Oh I had a great deal of fun," she said with a smile. "There were so many new things to see and do. I did not try the flying experience, but I would love to find somewhere near Fandom that offered such a thing."

"Why didn't you try?" Ender wondered.

"There was so many other things to see," Cassidy said with a smile. "I just ran out of time."

"Ah," he said, smiling back. "So you did have your fill of Rio."

Cassidy nodded. "I don't think I could experience everything they have to offer even if we were there more than a week." She gave him a wry smile. "And it was beginning to get exhausting trying to keep up with everything there was there."

"You're not graduating this year, are you?" Ender asked. "Because no doubt during fall break, the school will take us somewhere you can try the things you missed this time. Not all of them are terribly Rio-specific."
