Angela gets to the library early, and blearily wonders why there still isn't a coffeemaker around.

She props herself behind the counter, and looks through the books that need to be reshelved, hoping to find something she wants to read. Or maybe she's just looking at the pictures. It's early.

The library is now open for all your library-type needs.

She has briefly braved the outside world to find some coffee and seems to be in a slightly better mood.

Zero came in, finishing off a danish, and walked right up to Angela. "Are you part of the idiocy?"

Angela gives Zero a wary look. "Which idiocy?"

"The idiocy Saturday night."

"Oh." Angela says. "Um ... I really don't want to lie to you, so ... yes."

She suspects this is not going to make Zero happy.

She would be correct in this.

"Oh. I see." Zero is definitely beginning to get the impression that everybody was in on this except her. She picks up a stack of books and says, "Excuse me," before vanishing into the stacks.

Angela looks after Zero, unsure what to do.

Finally, she gathers her courage and follows her. "Zero? Will you at least talk to me?" she calls into the stacks.

"No," Zero calls from somewhere unseen. Possibly the history section. "Why should I? No one talked to me." She doesn't sound bitter. In fact, she sounds weirdly calm. If Angela's smart she'll take this as a bad sign.

"Angel and Parker weren't running around recruiting people," Angela calls back, before giving up. She knows that really wouldn';t matter to her if she were in Zero's position.

"I'm at the desk if you do want to talk, ever."

Parker was humming when she came in late to the library during second period. "It's a beautiful day, isn't it?"

"Freezing," but not too bad, I guess," Angela replied. "You seem happy."

"Revenge Part 2 just completed." Parker smiled, then looked around, hopeful. "Is Zero around?"

Angela chooses to ignore the comment about revenge. Ask no questions, you'll be told no lies, right?

"Yeah, but she doesn't want to to talk to me. I think she's back in the history section."

Parker's expression fell. "Oh. Damnit." She sighed. "Think she'll talk to me? This is-- this is just wrong. I feel like I've been sent to Siberia."

Angela's shoulders sagged. "I don't know. I've never seen her really mad before, y'know? You know her better than I do, that way."

"Usually she just gets the mallet. Or threatens destruction and then bites someone. This is just-- gahhh." Parker crossed her arms. "I could go try to apologize. Since I now think trying to keep people out of it was, well. Kinda wrong. Vala was not happy with me last night either."

"On the other hand, I get why Angel wanted to do it this way," Angela ventured. "I mean, you guys were lucky to all come back in one piece. I don't know if more people would have made it safer."

"But maybe the lying was the bad part, not the doing."

"I don't regret doing it, but yes, I think we should've asked Zero to be involved." Parker sighed. "Even if there was nothing left for her to do. I just-- I wanted to avoid a fight, and I didn't want her to worry. All of the rest of you were in it. I just wanted one person who didn't have to be scared on Friday."

"I just kind of was waiting for someone else to tell her," Angela answered thoughtfully. "I figured I had brought Isabel Evans in. And ... I mean, if she'd asked, I probably would have told her, you know?"

"But you're right. It was probably better to have one person not worried."

"In theory," Parker muttered, then sighed. "In reality, now she's pissed off at everything she knows in retrospect. Bad plan. Bad, bad plan."

"I know," Angela said. "And ... I don't really hand anything useful to say."

She glanced towards the stacks Zero had disappeared into. "I need to get to art. Are you going to try going after her?"

"Yeah. Or at least, try. Wish me luck. Have fun in art."
