Parker opened the library, and started making plans. She may have been drinking a lot of coffee.

"Yeah, I got Self-Defense today. I'm not sure if Friday means I fail or pass on the subject."

Cameron eyed the candies warily. "He didn't ask you to help me get my leather pants on, did he?"

"At least we should be getting *some* extra credit from Dr. Carter, if the paper I write for her explains it well." Parker looked gloomy. "Would've been better if we'd achieved all objectives, though."

Then she laughed. "I'd *love* to help you into leather pants, Cam-boy, but why would Crichton care?"

"I know," Cameron said softly, but quickly shrugged it off.

"He decided it was cool to trick the doped up on medication guy into going to class in leather pants and spandex. Which I am not doing," he added firmly before Parker could get any ideas. "Sadly enough, the only thing I could come up with yesterday was that I can't get those leather pants on and off with one arm."

Parker spluttered. "Oh, my, god. I should think not." Then she laughed. "Damn,'cause the would've been a sight. I'd ask why he wanted you do to that, but-- it's Crichton. Heh."

"Maybe he just likes to see my ass in leather?" Cameron shook his head. "I halved the dosage for today because I don't think I'll be talking to Aeryn any time soon."

"You halved the dosage-- that's gotta hurt." She winced. "Why won't you be talking to Aeryn, though?"

"Okay, if John got me to agree to wearing spandex over leather pants? Imagine what stupidity came out of my mouth yesterday?" Cameron sighed.

Parker winced. "Oohhhh, woe. For you. Any chance she'll let you off the hook any time soon?"

"I don't know? I'm avoiding her?" Cameron grimaced.

"I did hear what you were asking Belthazor about, while you were at it." Parker shook her head. "The guy is bad news, Mitchell."

Cameron frowned. "He's got issues, that's clear."

"He wants Angelus back. That goes beyond issues into homicidal stupidity." Parker sighed. "And he's willing to take out anyone in his way. Phoebe used to keep his feet on the ground, but now? Loose cannon. In the worst way."

"I know. I saw what he did to Marty," Cameron replied, still frowning.

Parker studied him. "But you don't get it?" she guessed.

Cameron tilted his head. "I think it's not as simple as we'd like it to be."

"He's made it clear, over and over, that he won't listen to anyone. And he's attacked people with those fireballs." Parker folded her arms, and hugged herself. "Guys like that, Cam... they don't change. Really."

Shaking her head, she asked, "How's Vala?"

Cameron held up his hands. "I'm not defending him, Parker."

"She's good. She's healing and she hasn't thrown me out, strangely enough."

"Pretty mad, hunh?" Parker looked toward the stacks, her mouth turning down. "Zero isn't talking to me."

"Actually, I thought it'd be worse." Cameron winced. "Sorry. I think more people would have made us trip over each other."

"Yeah, that's what I thought." She rubbed her eyes. "Was it so awful, to not want a few people involved, and worried, and have to worry about them?"

Cameron grimaced. "Honestly? I'd be furious if Vala had done the same."

Parker griamaced. "And see, so would I, but I'm very certain that's... different."

Cameron raised an eyebrow. "How so? Because it'd be you?"
