John, totally cruising for a bruising or something, drops a box of Sweethearts (http://www.plumparty.com/Merchant2/graphics/products/large/18373.jpg) on the desk in front of Parker.

Bel came into the library after Sociology to return the two books on Japanese history and weaponry he had checked out last week.

"Belthazor." Parker nodded to him, keeping her voice civil. "How can I help you?"

Parker cocked an eyebrow at John. "Thank you? I think. And why?"

"Just returning some books," Bel said. "Don't want another fine, after all."

Cameron enters the libary and settles down in one of the chairs to do some research. His homework last week got very neglected.

"For your Valentine, whoever he or she may be," John teases.

Angela comes in and begins idly flipping through her government reading.

Parker rolled her eyes. "God, that's coming up, isn't it. I'm not going to be subjected to your asinine teasing on the subject for a week, am I?"

"Maybe," John says, shrugging. "Maybe you can convince me not to tease you though."

"Mmm." Parker checked the books in, noting the titles automatically, then handed Bel the print-out. "There. No Zero with a mallet in your future." Grimacing, she asked, "Anything else?"

"How? Because I know the stupid dance is going to be the 17th, and that'll draw out this silliness even longer."

Parker waved to him as he came in.

"Hmm." John smiles and opens the pack of Sweethearts so he can eat one. "You know Professor Skeeter?"

"I hate Professor Skeeter." She glared at him. "She's made some of the same assumptions about my love life that *you* have. Why?"

"So, I never told you: it was Marty behind Esme's bunnynapping." Parker studied Angela carefully. "Got any problems with some non-lethal revenge?"

"Well, we have something in common then," John says. "She turned me into a monkey. If you dedicate the schmoopiest, sappiest, most romantic song to her and her husband via the radio during her broadcast, which I think is tonight, I won't make fun of your love life during Valentine's week."

Angela buries her face in her hands. The muffled noise that comes out might be "What a moron."

Recovering, she adds. "I said I would help. I'll help. But, god, what a mean, dumb thing to do."
