A rectangular sheet of paper is folded so that two diagonally opposite corners come together. If the crease formed is the same length as the longer side of the sheet, what is the ratio of the longer side of the sheet to the shorter side?

Pippi selects "C" as her answer to the first question.

This is one of those vaguely abstract problems she wasn't every good at. In real life, she'd just make or buy more pizza so everybody could have as much as they wanted...

She pretty sure that it's either "A" or "E" but she can't decide... The lower half of the paper she turns in is covered with the letters "A" and "E" which are circled, or stared, and then slashed, crossed out, or poorly erased. As if she went A... No E... No, E is wrong, it's A... Or is it E? Maybe it is A... But what it's E? And so on.

It is difficult to discern what her final answer is in all this.
