"Morning," Rory replied with a smile, looking up from the laptop. "And, um, yeah actually. I like school. Blair, right? We met like a billion years ago when I was upside-down?"

Blair shrugged and pointed at the stitched cut on his forehead. "Got hit with an iceball trying to negoiate peace. How bout you?"

"Eep," Rory winced. "I just took a snowball to the knee and to the shoulder." She blushed for no reason. "Um, so I've got a bit of a limp, but that's all. So you were trying to negotiate? Good for you."

"Ouch, man!" Blair waved his hands. "Yeah, well it didn't work out very well...but I figured somebody should give it a try."

"Blair, last semester I tried to peacefully negotiate with giant rabid space weasels," Rory said sardonically. "So I'm very much in agreement that it's a good idea to at least try."

"I heard about the zombies but..." Blair shrugged. "Man, doesn't stuff here make you want to check yourself into the nearest clinic?"

"Although around here the clinic would probably be run by a Mayan snake god and a demented chipmunk or something."

"I've just given up trying to understand," Rory said, shaking her head. "Between vampire bites and giant squids and boys who can levitate me and making phone calls from clouds...it's just better to just take it in stride, I think."
