Rory's sitting behind the desk, tapping a pen against it and obviously deep in thought.

She's here for all your library aide needs, however.

"Oh," Angela says. "I should ... check my email." She toddles off to one of the library computer terminals.

A few minutes later, after threads have been tied together, she comes back to the desk. "I have no idea why we email back and forth when we're right in the same room. Anyhow, it sounds good. Not good, but ... you know."

"Hey, I know people who text message while sitting right beside each other," Rory said with a small smile. "And at least we have the excuse of wanting to keep things quiet." She glanced around innocently. "Library and all, y'know."

Angela grins. "True. Plus, this is another weird time travel thing. Email was, like, this new geeky thing only Brian Krakow liked back at my old school. Now it's inescapable."

"Please tell me I do not sound like I'm 105."

"Only ninety, I promise," Rory teased. "And yeah, I keep forgetting you're technically like ten years older than me."

"Only nine years and six months," Angela replied, smiling. "But still. It's weird."

"Speaking of weird ... new principal. Again."

"Yeah," Rory said, quirking a brow. "He's...odd. And he put the Chosen One thing on his application. Probably just to annoy Janet."

She made a face. "By the way? I don't get that."

Angela laughs. "You either? I felt like such a dork that I had to keep repeating it to the new students. And they looked at me like I'm insane."

"Have you asked Zero about it? Maybe it's, like, a library demand, and Janet is just ... being Janet. You know."

Rory shrugged with her good shoulder. "I'll ask Zero or Parker or something. 'Cause I'm betting Anakin stuck it on his application without thinking or something and it annoying Janet when she asked him about it and he didn't back down."

She rolled her eyes. "It just seems silly that it's like, a rule to tell them that when I can think of all of two people who might rightfully put it."

Angela tilts her head, thinking about this. "I can see Anakin doing that. Especially because the situation would have been so new to him, and all."

"But yeah, I don't get why we need to say it to everyone. If the library even cares and anyone writes it again, we could cross it off or make people fill out a new application if they write it." She giggles. "Though I just filed Mr. Finn's. So if the library explodes, or something? Blame me."

"Boom," Rory deadpanned.

"But seriously, yeah. Anakin wouldn't think about it, so meh. And I think Mr. Finn was joking, so whatever. I want to see what'll happen if we stop saying it."

"Agreed. But if the library explodes or something? I'm blaming you."

"Wouldn't it tell Zero first?" Rory asked, twisting her mouth to one side thoughtfully.

"If she were here?" Angela suggests. "But if she isn't ... I dunno. I'm watching the file cabinet with Finn's application to see if frogs start leaping out of it, or something."
