Gun Club: [1/28]

Since Parker told me I could couldn't seem to get her act together, Marty opened up the gun range and did a once-over the weapons locker to make sure that everything was in order.

He then made sure that the safety rules were up:

SAFETY RULES:

· TREAT ALL GUNS AS IF THEY WERE LOADED

· KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL READY TO FIRE

· BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT’S BEYOND

· ALWAYS WEAR HEARING AND EYE PROTECTION

· NEVER USE ALCOHOL OR DRUGS BEFORE OR WHILE SHOOTING.

· CHECK IN ALL WEAPONS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE RANGE.

Breaking any of these rules means an immediate visit with Mr. Smith, or the guy with the funny hat.

Marty waved back as he pulled out his sniper rifle and began the cleaning before assenbling it. "How's it going Sam?"

"Can't complain," Sam said as she reloaded her pistol, slamming the clip home. "You?"

She took aim again and tried to focus.

Marty waited until Sam finished shooting her clip before he responded and checked to make sure that his sniper rifle sights were still aligned.

"Cold as hell," Marty replied. "This is worse than living in Michigan."

"Yeah, this is ridiculous. Not to mention the complete lack of power in town."

She watched him sight down the scope and watched him shoot, having missed the opportunity to do so before.

After a couple of shots, Marty frowned and unloaded the clip to adjust the sights.

"Well at least the dorms and school still have power. Even though I practically froze to death last night."

"Yeah, tell me about it," Sam said, sighting down at the target. She was definitely getting better, but she was still off. "Maybe donating my extra blankets wasn't my best idea ever. Layers are the key to dressing until the heat's back on. Or, y'know, finding someone to share body heat with."

"Well I appreciate the offer, but I don't think Jack would appreciate that," Marty says in a tone that clearly indicates he is kidding.

Sam grinned back. "And who says Jack gets a vote? I froze my ass off last night because he wasn't around."

"Well... judging how Janet shoved the two of you in a closet, I just assumed you two had *something* going on. And where the hell has that boy been? I practically never see him and he's the one who dragged me into that girl's locker room."

"Yes, we definitely have something going on," Sam said, a bit exasperated with Jack. "I don't know where he's been although the mun has had lj-login issues. Have him send up a flare or something if you see him though."
