Fandom Hightimes Meeting - 4PM FHT (In the Journalism room)

Chloe taps away at her laptop as she makes sure everything is set up. Issues of the paper from last semester for the newbies? Check. Coffee? Check. Food from Jeff, God of Biscuits? Check.

Now all she needs are other people.

"Did John get turned into a monkey again?"

"Whaaaaat?" Angela says, then shakes her head. "Nope. No animals. Almost as weird. You know Parker's friend Broots? Kind of prematurely balding, likes computers a lot?"

"Yeah - he's a sweetheart," Rory nodded. "Such a nice guy. What about him?"

Angela's shoes suddenly become very interesting. "He kind of asked me out. I think Parker wanted to set us up. So, um, we're going to the Chinese place on Thursday. A week from today."

"Oh," Rory said, brows shooting up. "Wow. That's so cute. Do you think he likes you?"

Angela bites her lower lip. "I'm not sure? He kind of looked like he wanted to melt into the floor the entire time we were talking. I don't know if that's a girl thing, or a girl-he-likes thing, or ... whatever. But it was kind of sweet, I guess. In a weird way."

"It's adorable, in any case." Rory arched a brow. "And what about you?"

Angela smiles. "I think I could be into him," she says, not sounding entirely convincing. "And anyhow, it'll be good for me to, like, go out with a boy and stuff, no pressure ... it should be fun."

Rory nodded. "Low-pressure dating is fun. And at least I'm pretty sure you'll be the more comfortable of the two of you."

"In that I've actuallty been on dates? Yeah." Embarassed, she lowers her voice. "Though I've never really gone out with a guy I wasn't into, physically, before. I mean, he's not, like, repulsive, but that will be new for me. What if he wants to kiss me and I don't want to?"

"Turn your head?" Rory suggested, wincing. "I don't know, maybe the date will help with the whole finding him attractive thing?"

"True. He might have, like, a really great personality, or something." Angela says, letting it go.

"So how are you and ... date-y things? I mean, I know you aren't seeing anyone, but if you were."

"If I were, the person in question and I might have had a fight recently," Rory said. "And that person might now know that other people know. But that's entirely hypothetical, y'know."

"Of course," Angela agrees solemnly. "And how might this person feel about other people knowing? Hypothetically, of course." Like, is he made enough to wipe my memory over it?

"Hypothetically, annoyed. With me. But hypothetically, much more happy with things to really care, I think," Rory shrugged.
