Fandom Hightimes Meeting - 4PM FHT (In the Journalism room)

Chloe taps away at her laptop as she makes sure everything is set up. Issues of the paper from last semester for the newbies? Check. Coffee? Check. Food from Jeff, God of Biscuits? Check.

Now all she needs are other people.

[I apologize for how late this is going up. Also, there are no OCD threads, because I'm a rebel like that. *g*]

Peter Parker padded ponderously to the paper. Well, here he was. He took a cookie and a seat.

"Hi," Peter said. "Yeah, I'm Peter. You're Chloe, right?"
chasingangela: (Dreams)

[personal profile] chasingangela 2006-01-27 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
Angela waved to Peter. "Hey! Are you a writer-type-person?"

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
"I am a interested-in-journalism-and-willing-to-give-this-a-shot-type-person. I tend to avoid embarrassing typos and my writing voice doesn't suck, but I don't know," Peter shrugged. "I guess we'll find out."

"How about you? Big with the writing?"
chasingangela: (Dreams)

"I'm okay. I write poetry and stuff, and last semester I took journalism and kind of got sucked in to the newspaper thing. It's weird, I was surprised how much I liked it."

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
"Really, I have no clue what it is I'm doing, so I'm glad to hear that someone else managed stumble into this happily, too," Peter grinned.
chasingangela: (cute)

[personal profile] chasingangela 2006-01-27 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
"Happy stumbling is the best kind," Angela agrees.

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
"It's definitely better than clumsy stumbling resulting in pain," Peter said.

From the look on his face, Peter had apparently just noticed something. "Your hair keeps changing colors this week. Wasn't it black the other day?"
chasingangela: (pink)

[personal profile] chasingangela 2006-01-27 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
"I think we can all agree that pain is bad."

"My hair? Yeah, it was black," Angela allows. "Experiment gone wrong. I like the red better, so it normallly stays this color."

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
"If my vote counts for anything, I vote red, too," Peter said. "The black was nice, but it didn't really look like you, you know?"
chasingangela: (charms)

[personal profile] chasingangela 2006-01-27 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, I agree," Angela says, fondly inspecting a strand of her hair, then shoving it back into place. "I've been a redhead since the beginning of tenth grade. Someday I'll grow out my natural color and really freak people out."

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
"Considering that I have no clue what your natural color is, I think it would weird me out a bit," Peter agreed.
chasingangela: (face)

[personal profile] chasingangela 2006-01-27 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
Angela scrunches her nose, considering. "Kind of ... light brown, dark blonde? Sort of between Chloe's and yours. Not as exciting as the Crimson Glow."

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
"Dude. Crimson Glow is a great name." Peter filed it away for future reference in case he ever needed to ditch "Spider-Man." "But, yeah, I completely can't picture you with hair that color. I'd find it very weird."
chasingangela: (pink)

[personal profile] chasingangela 2006-01-27 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
"It's not that weird, but ... I like the red, yeah."

She looks back at Chloe. "Have we been asked to sign up for stuff or anything yet?"

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
Peter glanced around the room and saw nobody else starting to work. "I don't think so. It spares me from having to worry about whatever it is I'm doing, though. A lack of assignments isn't all bad."
chasingangela: (pink)

[personal profile] chasingangela 2006-01-27 04:11 am (UTC)(link)
"Right there with you," Angela agrees. "So. How are things?"

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
The way she said "So" troubled him. He couldn't help but wonder who told her.

"Not bad, really. Classes have been fine, people have been... interesting. They often are here, I guess," Peter babbled. "Wacky, wacky people."
chasingangela: (shock)

[personal profile] chasingangela 2006-01-27 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
Angela wonders why Peter seems to be freaking out over such a boring question.

"Yep. Wackiness abounds," she says. "That seems to be the rule, here."

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
And she mentioned nothing about powers or the park. Maybe she's being discreet in a public place. Or, maybe, she knows nothing at all. Peter really needed to work on not overreacting.

"Oh, definitely," he said in a much more relaxed tone. "Wackiness. Um. I think I need to cut back on the coffee." This may have been a better explanation for his jumpiness if he had a coffee cup.
chasingangela: (shock)

[personal profile] chasingangela 2006-01-27 04:38 am (UTC)(link)
"I think half this school is struggling with caffeine addiction," Angela says, giving him a weird look because OMGWTFNOCOFFEECUP. "There's usually coffee somewhere in the journalism suite, though. If you need a fix."

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
"I'll have to keep that in mind," Peter said, considering his lack of coffee cup. "You know what, I think I should go get some right now." He walked over to get some coffee and considered, before returning, that he also needed to work on avoiding terrible contradictions in his excuses.
